Great video ..... I went with a group to Napken a few months after this video was shot. Our Group landed a 40", 43" and 45" pike with countless 30+. Truly an amazing fishery.
What an amazing place, so you just flew out to the cabin and were on your own for your stay? That sounds like a great fishing trip, so Hearst air provides the flight and the cabin?
Yes, they have several remote cabins (cottages) on wilderness lakes which have excellent fishing and best of all, it all yours for the week. Good idea for a group of anglers or a family. The cabins have all kitchen needs and they provide boats, motors and gas. You have to bring food, sleeping bags and fishing gear. I also recommend you rent a SatPhone (they are cheap to rent) in case of an emergency. So peaceful and quiet, truly wonderful to not see any other people. Just birds and wildlife. Check out their website and give them a call, they can give you more details
May I ask the cost in total if one requested the R/T air taxi , cabin, boat-outboard-gas all-included? Where does the air taxi leave from? Is it driveable to the airplane taxi with a car?
Words do not do justice to the service you are doing for the fly fishing community by sharing your knowledge and experience. Thank you so much!
Thank you Chase for the kind words! Means a LOT!!!

Spectacular video Bill & Colin 👍🎣. The first fish I Every court on a fly rod , was pike . Then the addition kicked off. 😊😉
Thanks, a lodge type trip to this region is out of my budget but a DIY like this would be. I check Hearst out and start the planning.

Wow, very nice video. What fly are you using?
The fly that worked the best overall was a pattern called Northern Magic designed by a guide in Saskatchewan with nickname of "Chip" Cromatary
