I've been to many horse auctions with my father. The craziest thing to me was you never really know what you're getting, however I feel that also brings a level of excitement because one can estimate a horses value based on pedigree, but thats not always how the auction goes. I've been fortunate enough to listen to them enough, and some of these guys have incredible rhythm. Great video. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

I'm glad I stumbled on this channel. I signed up for all notifications. I've aspired to be an auctioneer for years, I've attempted to get hired by an auction company, so far to no avail.

Great. I'm no auctioneer, I just do it for fun and to entertain. I give a class or two so, I throw a few would you gives to wake everybody up. The selling was an experience though. Now most auction get put on hibid online. I loved going to auctions, almost wanted to do this as a side gig until seeingnalmost no local auctioneers dont do live auctions.
I just subscribed and would like to learn how to auctioneer . I think this is going to help me although I will have to be alone until I actually learn how just because I am pretty self conscious that I will mess up lol 😂
I was planning to attend an auction later this year. It occurred to me I needed to learn how to get through the “chatter” to hear what was being said. After a bit, I came to wonder why people are working to learn to talk in a way that makes them harder to understand. Crazy. I’m going to stay home.
Well this is fantastic. I’ve been selling telephone poles to myself as I practice while I’m driving. Now Ill be doing this too. This was clearly presented and fun. I think it will help me get into estate auctions.

Its a lot more fun than counting light posts and i made it so you can just listen for the ringmen's YEP while you are auctioneering. Therefore you don't have to look at the screen to practice!! I stumbled upon your video here on TH-cam and I was very interested. I have been following along with you and your coaching. One thing I notice is it seems I need to breathe at different times than you during the chant am I just not far enough ahead to know how to do this?

Ya, it’s definitely challenging, remembering who the last bidder is gets tricky when there isn’t a ringman to help.

How do you decide where to start the bidding? For example if you have an item with a value of $1000, where do you start the bidding?
When we were practicig were we starting with 1 Dollar Bid 2 or were we waiting for a signal for the $1 bit? I kept being off a dollar
Pretty awesome! Do you think someone wanting to just auctioneer for just local charity/political events should go to a auctioneer college or is there a way to just learn as a hobby?
You can definitely learn and auctioneer as a hobby. As far as auctioneering for a charity event (check your local laws)but most of the time if you are not being paid/gifted anything for the event, you won't be breaking an laws. Every state is different though so do your research!! Once you catch the auctioneering bug though, Auction School is a great College to attend. You will not only learn the in's and outs of the auction world but it will push you forward in many areas of your life. Welcome to the Syndicate Pablo!!

you mean, in a state in usa. every state has auctions and auctioneers and they have auctions 1-2 times a week.
