    Exactly what I was looking for as I'm making medical task trainers for 3D printing and needed a way to add skin texture to the Shapr3D models. Thank you!

    Seeing that you are a Mac guy and use a tablet let me point some of the windows and desktop users to some software.
    Note* I'm going to post links seeing that it might get auto filtered and no one will see this comment
    Blender 2.93.2 - This is a free program that you can make some amazing stuff with if you have the time to learn it.
    Fusion 360 - This is kind of free but if your are really wanting to use it a lot it does have an annual fee. This seems to be just similar to Shap3d from what I have seen.
    ZBrush - This is a sculpting program that has a monthly fee or you can buy a one time license.
    Just some suggestions 😁👍

      We were taught on Fusion 360 back in the day, lol, would recommend for those with a more engineering mindset (and those using the software for multiple applications) but you are right is is similar to Shapr3D.
      Nomad is like ZBrush lite.
      We like using the iPad specific applications as we can edit on the go with clients etc, and they are a lot more intuitive.
      Would definitely recommend the ones you listed for those that need a desktop application.

    This is a great Nomad tutorial. I'm a beginner, learning the basics. Your jewelry game is top notch!

      Shapr3D, if you have an iPad, is great. As Gomeow commented Fusion360 and Brush are good options. I think Zbrush Core is a cheaper option.
      It depends on your budget.

    This was super helpful! Do you suggest that we do general sizing ad shape in shapr3D and then nomad sculpt for details? Or could we get accurate sizes in nomad sculpt?

    Is there no way to do this with just nomad? I purchased the app the other day but found out Shapr3D has a really crappy subscription model that’s gonna be really expensive for me when this is really just a hobby.

      @ClearMindJewellery  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can sculpt straight in nomad but as it is more based in mesh vs cad scaling appropriately can be more challenging

    Is that possible to transfer the finished 3d jewel model to Rhinoceros and then set it up to layers to subdivide the model imported? Some job requests a Rhinoceros 3d model so I guess that is because the clients want to look it up on layers at Rhinoceros.

      You can export stl file from Shapr and edit it in rhino or some other format. Shapr 3d exports in so many formats

    Hey, do you know if it is possible to design an engagement ring with shapr3d? I'm talking about a full blown out cad design that includes prongs for melee diamonds and center stones? Or is this software just good for less complicated designs? I would then like to 3d print it! If you know the answer for this please let me know.

    • @ClearMindJewellery
      @ClearMindJewellery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Shapr3D is great but you gotta know what you are doing in terms of stone setting as it doesn't do presets for you like a software like Rhino would.

      Thank yu for that. Could yu recommend me any software for iPads that I can use to set diamonds into jewelry? I’m having a hard time finding one. I would like to know the size of the setting so I can measure the size of the stone to apply to it. Any software that yu know of that lets yu add a Diamond setting nd it will tell yu it’s size nd the carat I would need to coordinate with that setting.

    Yes. I cannot afford the jewellery industry’s software, it’s too expensive and the subscriptions are ridiculous!
    I find that Iam more creative designing on my I Pad mobily than tied to a desk!

    • @ClearMindJewellery
      @ClearMindJewellery  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The subscriptions bother me to, I avoid them as much as I can especially for software that I'm not sitting in front of every single day. Not to mention the learning curve with Rhino. There are a few instances where Rhino can't be beat, but there's very rarely a workaround.
