      @@oinochoe right, if Luna does that…boy I’m gone!
      Ive deleted Pro-fools from my pc and mac, as of now i use SO5 Pro, FL Studio, Live, and Logic…SO+FL is my main, i cant mix or edit in Luna when traveling because lots of places i cant pull out my Solo, and Luna wont work without it or no internet, and i do not believe in buying an ilok for one program…Live is for samplerate conversion and a second time stretch algorithm different from SO (They give you Live when you buy SO, sweet) and i use Logic to open my iPad GarageBand projects that i do when mobile on the tablet…so thats my team…Trying to get Luna up to speed so i can at least use it at home or to mix or something…but it’s definitely not mobile friendly

      Take a program like logic, you can collaborate with anyone with built in plugins and instruments. What you could do is at least let people with Apollo collaborate by being able to share Luna projects easily through cloud. Maybe make unauthorized plugins work across sessions but can’t be modified once the trials expire.

    This is great and being Luna it’s going to be awesome. Up to 6 MCU controllers. Side chain support. Further bridging the gap between old and new and you can’t really beat riding an actual fader. 👍❤️

    Fantastic news, and let's be straight and put things in perspective; while LUNA updates may be free, if you have the extensions and instruments and whatnot, you've already paid way more than any DAW on earth costs and those DAWs all have many basic and advanced features way beyond those of LUNA included in their much cheaper price. Not to take anything away from UA, it's all great stuff guys and well done! Hopefully you can concentrate on time compensated hardware inserts, so we can use all our expensive UAD hardware units in LUNA as time compensated inserts.

    I know it’s not close to this kind of physical hardware but I use an iPad Pro as a second screen for my MacBook Pro so I can use it as a touch screen for the faders and everything and it actually works great for me personally. My MacBook Pro has the Touch Bar on it too so it give me the option to control volume on hi-hats, toms, bass drum, etc… I am interested in this but it’s something I’ll have to think about. I have Luna that I got for free, thank you for that by the way. I haven’t used it yet though. Im using Logic X Pro with Ableton in Rewire Mode into UAD where I use the UAD faders and UAD effects and plug-ins from my Apollo x8 but I haven’t tried Luna and I’m not sure how I’d work it into my setup (again Logic X Pro with Ableton in Rewire Mode. I do want to try Luna out though. I watch all the videos I can on it. Maybe an expert can help me figure out how to integrate it into my existing setup.

    Moving from Logic Pro X to Luna only for better latency and all over sound is what I did. Now that the Mackie control standard is coming to Luna makes me very happy ✅🙏🏻✌🏻
    I’ve got to check if my Native Instruments Komplete Kontrol S61 MK2 works ? It will work I guess and I will report my experience ‘bout it.

    • @levondarratt787
      @levondarratt787 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You're joking right? There's no reality on this world where this can come close to logic. Logic doesn't have a sound it's got 64 bit core operation and the sound depends on the plugins that you put in and what you record.. The features are a hundred times more professional you can do anything you want. Everything can be customized controlled and the possibilities are endless.

    • @johnhamers4571
      @johnhamers4571 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@levondarratt787 Tha’ts true, but in Logic there’s no A.R.M. mode with the same ultra low latency as in Luna. So that’s my only motivation.
      I feel fucked that I can’t have that same low latency in Logic Pro X with the Apollo X8 soundcard.
      Nothing can beat Logic Pro X that’s simply the truth.

  • @gabrielroman555
    @gabrielroman555 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    How does playback latency play into this and how can we correct for it? For example: delay between writing volume automation to the delay compensated playback and how it’s actually recorded on the timeline? Thanks UA! Super excited to use my control surface. 🙂

    • @mixedbymuchewicz
      @mixedbymuchewicz 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really good question!! @UniversalAudio please reply!

    • @gabrielroman555
      @gabrielroman555 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Maybe if Luna reported the total delay compensation of all native and UAD dsp plugs, we can just write and nudge back (or if that was done automatically maybe better since adding or removing plugs during this process would change the delay value?) Not sure if there is a way around the playback latency. Thanks again so much for all that you’re doing. LUNA is awesome. 🤘🏼

    Please add plugin control next. We need MIDI learn for MIDI encoders to control plugins. The thing I want the most for LUNA is Eucon support.
    I want to switch to LUNA as my main mixing DAW but I need plugin control with my MIDI Fighter Twister before I can make the switch. I'd take that over Eucon support, actually.

      Solo a bus unless you solo safe all the tracks being sent to the bus. I don’t know why protools doesn’t fix this. It’s so annoying to press solo on a bus and to hear no sound haha

    Maybe I missed it, but can the faderport or uf8 do plugin control in Luna?

      No, we added faders and pans in this initial release. See here for more details. help.uaudio.com/hc/en-us/articles/4406777753236-LUNA-Control-Surface-Compatibility-Setup

      That's the million dollar question. With my MC Mix, it's one step forward and two steps back.

      @@darwinheikes2836 Why do you say 2 steps back? Can you not set custom buttons to function in LUNA with MC Mix. Also curious how MC Control v2 would do.
