sad to see Chealtham heading back on a display at York but least i got to see her in action back 2022 with unlucky tug a day i rember for a long time coming

Cheltenham 😢😢😢 gone to be stuffed and mounted. Lovely loco to ride behind, got a long trip now to get that pleasure but it was good while it lasted❤❤
Sad to see Cheltenham go to York, but its for the best. At least she's in a good place.

I've watched this video right after watching #LouisianaRailProduction's latest video about Canadian Pacific Railway #2816's return run to Calgary from her rather wild trip to Mexico as part of CPKC's Final Spike Tour. Imagine that, watching boiler work on a steam locomotive named Canadian Pacific right after watching a video about a Canadian Pacific steam locomotive...

It’s a shame the Can Pac boiler can’t be reunited with its frames back at Eastleigh works for the rebuild to be completed there, as the boiler is now to heavy to be transported back across Campbell Road bridge at Eastleigh.
Well done, CanPac team. Let's hope the Net Zero policy doesn't inhibit work like this in the future.

Cheltenham was has always been my favourite on the line , such a shame but I understand why
Intersting to hear about the expansion of the boiler when in steam....how much would the boiler be expected to expand under normal conditions ?
