This selection was performed as part of the 2nd portion of a concert presented in December,1992 entitled “An English Holiday Concert” featuring the Abendmusik Chorus, Plymouth Brass and organist Stephen Krahn conducted by Sir David Willcocks.

The cameraman was completely unaware of the solo trumpet player until the very last few notes! That guy deserved more air time!

The cameraman SELDOM found the people who were actually playing at the time, even missed the cymbalist! Must have been a musical illiterate, and nearly blind, as well. Very frustrating!

I think generally you would be true, but Sir David Willcocks is one of those instances where he’s given a pass. The man was involved so much in history and with music that getting to share history is worth listening to
