  • In this video I take a look at a Puch maxi once again! Its almost completely similar to the one I had last year.
This has not been run for quite some years, but it is a One owner original Puch Maxi! how rare is that?!
Lets see if I can make it run!

Nice to hear you say that the current prices for Mopeds are crazy. I agree, online auction prices unrealistic. I now check Moped owners club websites and magazines for potential bargains.

We are kindred spirits. I collect old mopeds, had a Skoda and a 2cv and I’m enjoying your show from the UK.

Me and my brother shared a Puch Maxi when we were kids. Was a K reg 1972 a think. Cost £35 with logbook. Would get laid up for the winter, never failed to start when summer came. I've never come across anything else with a tickler on the carb.

What a great little bike!. Just had a look on Ebay and they are selling for anything between £400 gbp to £900 in the UK for a project or for restoration!

I remember Mustie1 working on one he picked up a few years back, I think he sealed the tank with some thick stuff to rust-proof it and stop it rotting out, though he had to have it hanging around from the garage roof at some funny angles to get the paint fully covering the tank... :P

Absolutely crazy prices for mopeds nowadays 😫
You would think that the politicians would do something about it.
How can everybody have a garage full of mopeds when the prices are so high !!!! 😤!

He might become a Maxi Maniac! They are a large group of people. A lot of Puch fans in Denmark 😉😎 Mopeds will only get more expensive, not less. The E50 is my favorite moped engine. 12mm Bing?

I found after buying one, buying them becomes an addiction, I now have 4 😩 I’m in the U.K. and I haven’t seen any on the road apart from mine in years. I do feature them on my channel. I love them.

Puch Maxi prizes have gone crazy... About 12 years ago, i bought a pedal version for 500 dkk (not running). A year later, I sold a KL for 2500 DKK. Should have kept them both! Actually, all mopeds have gone up a lot!

    • @SeasideGarage

I bought a Maxi K 4 years ago for DKK 4000,- in a pretty good condition. It just needed new tires, chainset and side fenders. I think I could sell it for around DKK 12.000,- now. But I won´t. ;-)

Bing carburetor has strange design. My 15 mm carb is leaking air. It’s so annoying the way it’s designed. So has to use an O-ring to seal the intake and carburetor shut from air leaks. I’m struggling with that on my Maxi S 1978

It sounds like a Maxi should sound. Didn't you forget to clean out the small holes in the needle jet (dyserøret)? Maybe that's why it runs a bit lean. 🙂

    • @SeasideGarage
