Do you have times where, while keying, the radio just drops the transmission? Mine does occasionally and never in a pattern to troubleshoot. A strong built radio for the price but without air band not sure I would purchase again.
Hi. I'd like to ask you sir and those who own or familiar with the icom t70a. My Battery Indicator icon on the top left stays full even at low charge/voltage say 7.4v the icon is still full. Is this a known issue or normal? Does your t70a has this issue? I've read on the manual that the batt icon should go half at 50% charge level then blink when goes low close to empty.
I think it only goes half when the charge is low. I wouldn't trust the battery indicator icon. I prefer to check the voltage. Unfortunately, the IC-T70A only gives out voltage reading when you turn it on (unlike the FT60R, for example, wherein you can access voltage from menu or shortcut). So I find myself power-cycling the radio just to check voltage.
