When I first had the desire however faint it was to get into Sherlock Holmes, It was when I was having a conversation with an elderly gentleman in a store just because, I cant remember what it was we were discussing but his mate, an even older man chimed in here and said that he had worked out who it was that I reminded him of. and I asked who was that? He said it was Moriarty. I had to go and look him up. I am to this day both insulted and flattered. Insulted because he probably meant I resembled in some way the most cold hearted, despicable and dangerous fictional criminal mastermind of all time, as well as that I came off as very clever. Why couldn't it have been one of the Holmes brothers, or John? I was about 17 at that time. Still in high school and still young and very stupid. But now, I love this show, I love the classic series and films, and I love the books. The first story I read, I was given it and it was The Hound of the Baskerviles. I read it in about two days and I couldn't put it down. It was like doctor who all over again. I just had to know what was next.
The Hound of the Baskervilles was my first read as well! I appreciate that you shared this story with us, it brightened my day by a small bit to know that there are others out there who still read good books. Modern literature is mostly garbage. There are a good number of gems that have been written recently but the vast majority of recently published works are not to the standard of writing that I am used to. I'm sure they will improve with time and understanding, but I am impatient.
As a musician, I have to say, that the music is so deep, intense and powerful, that it hurts like hell. Really inspiring and brilliant mix. But I think, it's to emotional to be relevant music for sleep. Brilliant, inspiring and awaking for all my feelings. Can't stop listening :)
Should have included the quiet part of "who you really are" somewhere, that piece is soul enhacing. Will you please consider making a long video based on that one, please? Thank you!
This is absolutely beautiful! I've often put Sherlock on just as background noise, this is much better! I know you probably have a huge list of these to make, but a few others I think would be great are Final Fantasy, Studio Ghibli, Fullmetal Alchemist, Fairy Tail, or Kingdom Hearts. These all are great soundtracks on their own, but I bet you could create a mix that would be amazing as well!
