Also this is kinda flawed. Because martial artist can twist and turn their martial arts specifically to kill, but more specifically there is a "deadliest" form of anything. @@Rubbinghandsschemingsomething i train aikido, which in its base is not deadly at all, but I can use it to make it deadly, for example i will throw someone in the way he will for example break his neck on a Wall next to me, but every martial art has something which can be dangerous for the oponent bcs if you will only self defense, you will Just response for his actions which means you re in a worse spot and easier for you to make a mistake, I mean you cant say you re safe if only thing you do is defense against oponent who does not stop attacking you, and martial arts are about being safe against the oponent, every martial art can be deadly becouse every martial art has some tools to make your oponent not able to attack you again, if thats the case then every martial art can be used to kill someone, the Best example is that aikido that I told at the top, not every martial art is designed to kill but every martial art can be used to kill someone, it Just depends on the user
@@jtamlin984 I agree with your point "every martial arts can be deadly" (hence i said yes first then no). But, some martial arts really designed for killing, so it might be more efficient = more deadly (like you said, more dangerous). For example, silat. There are 3 type of silat. The first one is silat for art, the second one is silat for sport (which can be seen at asian games, for example) and the third one is silat for killing (which developed and used in times of war or in life/death situation). Silat for killing only cares about how to immobilize and kill your opponent as quick as possible. So it involves breaking bone, stabbing, slashing etc. They train specifically to do that. They learn anatomy as well, to make sure they can effectively use those killing techniques. That's why some martial arts are more deadly than others (more effective and efficient in killing), because they're designed to kill. In your example, aikido can be deadly if the user want it to be deadly (which need some creativity from the user), not that aikido trains their user to kill by default.

Martial arts mean fighting style. Doesn't matter whether an offense style of defense style. And no. Krav Maga practioner do not wait for you to strike first to say for defense.
It’s hugely inflated only because it’s been created in Israel. Nothing else If you look at other Asian martial arts, you would know Krav got nothing to do with Martial Arts. Even if you want consider Krav, Jeet Kun Do is a 1000x better option
Don't try to find the best.... There is no best martial art... Whatever the art you practice, practice it in the best way possible to make it the best. And that's the best martial art. Peace and harmony, Sensei Maharaj😊
The best art is jeetkunedo ... That is your own personal fighting style that you created over years of training different fighting styles, keeping what you really like throwing out the rest, being sure to train in all of the fighting ranges (kicking, punching, clinching/CQB/inside fighting/standing submissions/throwing/takedown defense, and submission grappling).
As silat users, people used to look down on it because it was more of an arts movement than the striking technique like punches, kick, elbow, knee, grappling and throwing. And also there's more than 800 styles of martial arts from various schools in the 13,000 islands in Indonesia. The main styles of Silat came from west Sumatra and west Java. From there they spread throughout the rest of the islands. One of the silat schools that is known to be the deadliest among other schools is PSHT because of their deadly techniques, they have many forbidden techniques and also use some kind of black magic to defeat their opponent.

When people say it’s the not the style it’s the person who practices it, they are completely right. Any martial art can be “useful” but only useful if you make them supplementary.
As a martial artist, all I can say is all martial arts are great because when we learn martial arts, it’s not for killing bad people or something. It’s self-discipline. As a silat fighter here I can confirm it.
Not true at all, tell me how aikido is useful, tell me how yellow bamboo is useful. People learn martial arts for multiple main reasons, 1, it actually work in combat and self defense, 2, to work on bettering themselves, and 3, to to learn to control their emotions better. Those 3 things most of the time is why people join a martial art and that first reason is the main reason. So tell me, how is a martial art great if it doesn't meet the needs of people and instead gives them false sense of confidence and belief that they can protect themselves when the art is actually not good for combat at all
Since my comment was gone ill put it up again. Krav maga wasn't actually all that good which is why the marines took it out of their training and replaced it with the Marine core martial art program. Which is more like kickboxing tuned for use with military weapons and knife fighting.

Salat is indeed a formidable form of combat, but I very much doubt that it can be qualified as the top deadliest combat form in the world. Muay Thai on the other hand, is indeed a very deadly, and destructive form of combat. As for Krav Maga it is not actually a martial art but a conglomeration of martial arts cobbled together to form a type of combat system. Essentially Krav Maga is just non-sport, combat-oriented form of mixed martial arts.
watching too much ong bak? muay thai LOOKS deadly because of all the elbow and knee sound effects in the movies. Silat looks like it's not so deadly because you only see them moving like dancing. muay thai is for breaking your opponent, but silat is mostly to KILL your opponent swiftly.

Was here to say that
Every martial art can be deadly if used correctly, its Just depend on the user and situation, I would rather say which one is easier to use to make it more dangerous for the oponent
Yes and no. Some martial arts are designed to protect ourselves/self-defense, while others specifically designed for killing.
@@Rubbinghandsschemingsomething ok, if thats what you mean, I can agree, but personally i still would say more that there isnt martial art better in killing than others, some Just might not be designed to do anything else
P.S. I love that we had normal constructive discussion, I mean I dont think you can see something like this often on the internet
@@jtamlin984Martial arts are styles. Certain movements are better at killing than others. A single form of martial art is a combination of these certain movements, so some are actually more deadly than others.

When people say it’s the not the style it’s the person who practices it, they are completely right. Any martial art can be “useful” but only useful if you make them supplementary.
Great Fighting Skills and Technique. Love It.
As a martial artist, all I can say is all martial arts are great because when we learn martial arts, it’s not for killing bad people or something. It’s self-discipline. As a silat fighter here I can confirm it.
Also, self-control.
