Also this is kinda flawed. Because martial artist can twist and turn their martial arts specifically to kill, but more specifically there is a "deadliest" form of anything. Even if something isn't considered deadly it can be ranked on a list of what is more deadly. If someone has died from someone tickling them, that tickle can be ranked as "the most deadly". But to the actual point, if the martial art is designed to kill someone, then it will be way more deadly than something like Kung fu

That's just silly. Some martial arts are meant to redirect or constrain.

Filipino marines.and these two guys who literally learned Kali only for a week defeated and destroyed Filipino marines in their own Martial art.this shows how less effective Kali is in real life scenario.Kali is about building that warrior mindset.going to the heat of the battle, not afraid of getting hit and fight till death rather than turning back and start running.that what Kali and also Krav maga is all about rather than skills.

    I'm 46years old and i learned silat when i was 11years old.
I've learned not only the jurus (style), but my teacher also teach me the breathing technic, holding my breath in my lower stomach and he punch me,next i was lay down and he step on me.
Silat was developed a very long time during the occupation of dutch (for 3,5centuries), so the vision of silat is killed or to be killed, cause we fight the army who have the gun fire, if we are slow..than we'll be death.
The silat basic movemen is defending and attack at the same time, hitting the point that can make our opponent death,it can be using emty hand or weapon like golok (long knife), bamboo, karambit ect..
But today, silat is quite different from the past, now silat is performing the art of martial art, fighting for several minutes, while back than, silat only used one or two moves to kill.

My highschool buddy's grandpa was a military instructor during WW 2. Dude is the coolest and sweetest grandpapi ive ever seen until my friend told me how this sweet old man used to make him train from 3-6pm before prayers so he could pass down silat from generation to generation. The ghist of it sounds insane because silat's fighting style aims at joints and usually with a keris. Otherwise any sharp short knife.
From stories by the grandpa, the folks tale is that during the warring period for Kuala Lumpur, some of his ancestors were deadly enforcers sent to assassinate Yap Ah Loy's faction. But unfortunately guns were a thing by then and bringing a knife to a gun fight doesn't work anymore no matter how experienced you are.

While most people are familiar with Thailand's martial art, "Muay Thai" far less is understood about its ancient forerunner, "Muay Boran" (literally, ancient Thai boxing).
Muay Boran is not a spectator sport.
This precursor to Muay Thai was shaped by the absolute need of a more brutal age, an era defined by survival and conquest. However, the lethal, efficient strikes of this ancient martial art has fallen out of practice in the relative security and safety of a more civilized time. You can see this Muay Boran's style in the Ong Bak film franchise.

@@jtamlin984 I agree with your point "every martial arts can be deadly" (hence i said yes first then no). But, some martial arts really designed for killing, so it might be more efficient = more deadly (like you said, more dangerous). For example, silat. There are 3 type of silat. The first one is silat for art, the second one is silat for sport (which can be seen at asian games, for example) and the third one is silat for killing (which developed and used in times of war or in life/death situation). Silat for killing only cares about how to immobilize and kill your opponent as quick as possible. So it involves breaking bone, stabbing, slashing etc. They train specifically to do that. They learn anatomy as well, to make sure they can effectively use those killing techniques. That's why some martial arts are more deadly than others (more effective and efficient in killing), because they're designed to kill. In your example, aikido can be deadly if the user want it to be deadly (which need some creativity from the user), not that aikido trains their user to kill by default.

People learn martial arts for multiple main reasons, 1, it actually work in combat and self defense, 2, to work on bettering themselves, and 3, to to learn to control their emotions better. Those 3 things most of the time is why people join a martial art and that first reason is the main reason. So tell me, how is a martial art great if it doesn't meet the needs of people and instead gives them false sense of confidence and belief that they can protect themselves when the art is actually not good for combat at all

Salat is indeed a formidable form of combat, but I very much doubt that it can be qualified as the top deadliest combat form in the world. Muay Thai on the other hand, is indeed a very deadly, and destructive form of combat. As for Krav Maga it is not actually a martial art but a conglomeration of martial arts cobbled together to form a type of combat system. Essentially Krav Maga is just non-sport, combat-oriented form of mixed martial arts.

Kali arnis and silat, both are proven to be deadly in WW2. In the Filiphines, local tribes use kali and arnis to fight off japanese invaders, in the nusantara region (modern days Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Borneo Island) they use silat to fought off Japanese occupations. Kali arnis and Silat, both work seamlessly when combine together, indicates there is a root somewhere on how this art is developed.
