After going through a traumatic experience they get greeted with discipline by their parents, it’ll probably leave a bad memory every time they go trick or treating. As much as this is a lesson, I know the feeling when something like that happens, you will feel terrible. Halloween is meant to be a time for kids to be happy and have fun, and they are probably scarred temporarily from this. So, as much as it is a lesson, it’s also a scare.
@Mike Tommy I'm sorry but i disagree. The parents probably told them millions of times not to go into strangers houses even on a normal day and halloween was the best time to test that. They will definitely not do it now cause it will stick in their minds. If they wouldn't have done that then there would of been a 50/50 chance of them going in and never coming out.
