BLUE LAGOON IS AMAZING!! Beautiful Excursion in Nassau (Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas)

- So many people don’t like to port in Nassau… but there are some beautiful spots to visit! We took an excursion to Blue Lagoon Island. It is a 25 minute water shuttle through the port to the island and there are some great views along the way.
Once on the island, you can just chill on the beach or you can participate in one of their animal encounters with dolphins or stingrays! We decided to just chill and enjoyed the palm tree shade, cool water and beautiful views. Also, the excursion we booked included lunch and it was yummy! We could choose from bbq chicken or a hamburger… or they may give you both. Very good!
Jason couldn’t help himself and had to get a pass for the water toys. What fun was that! They are hard to climb but so much fun on the way down!

I just love 💘 how the two of you support each other in everything. Dietary choices, entertainment, excursions etc. It tickles me when Jason says he thinks A would like this or that. Nice to see a couple so in love with amazing family values.

Such a pretty island! We went to Cozumel with another family. My friend and my husband didn’t want to go out to the inflatables in the water but her husband, our kids and I did. We swam out there but I couldn’t get up on those inflatables. He was going to “push or pull” me up there. He’s a little guy but I’m not a little lady. I decided I didn’t want any other husband than my own to have to be “pushing or pulling” me! I went back to the beach with the other lounging people! 😂😂

I honestly don't like as many videos as I should, cruising around TH-cam. But seeing Jason have a great time around that waterpark was definitely reason to give you guys a big 'ol like! Love the cruise content, you guys do it the best!!

Y’all do a great job of filming! Great editing Jason! We went one year a Mardi Gras time & the water was freezing cold; didn’t spend to much time in the water but the ride out to the island was great. Thanks guys for sharing with us❤️

Snorkelling is awesome!!! I’m glad I naturally tan!!! Those inflatable things look like fun but be careful as I’ve seen ppl get hurt. I love water parks. Lunch on the Beach looks awesome!!! My friend is in his 30‘s and slipped on one of those ocean inflatable onto a rock. The Animal encounters sounds awesome!!! That bar looks like an awesome place to study. Soccer is the best form of Football!!!

We’ve been going there for years… every time we go to Nassau. Glad you had fun!!! Going there again on the Mardi Gras at the end of August. We’re doing the dolphin excursion too.

I am extremely blond blue-eyed blond eyelashes and eyebrows to match. Which I've always hated LOL But whenever I go on vacation I go to a tanning bed for 7 days/10 mins each. This is another great way not to burn in the real Sun because it gives you a base tan. I found the hard way you just can't reach everywhere on your body that's going to be exposed with the sunblock!... It is so flipping gorgeous there!! I've been to the area on a cruise unfortunately it was pouring down rain when we ported there so didn't get to do the Blue Lagoon at all so I'm so appreciative to see it now! 😆 yeah I couldn't remember when you said Atlantais that's where we went. It was really cool inside there all kinds of sharks swimming around they have those huge enclosed windows in the lobby area great big and so yeah that was pretty cool

It really is a wonderful spot for the reasons you showed but not the greatest if you want to go for snorkeling since there's not much sea life to enjoy.
During World War II, the island was requisitioned for a year by the Allies for use as a secret training base for three teams of British and American underwater demolition squads who would swim the seven miles (11 km) around the island every day. Explosives and depth charges were blown up regularly around the island, and in the evenings, just for fun, they would toss hand grenades over the cliff. It was thought that the concussions weakened the cliff so much that it caused the small fort to collapse.
Alisa, I am so much like you. I love the hot tubs but only for about a minute or two. Let me dangle my legs but keep my body out of the heat. I also love going to the beach, swimming and playing in the water but I want a lounger under shade. Wow Jason, you are like the Energizer Bunny.

This really helped me not eliminate Nassau. I had been eyeing a ABC island cruise that RC does that has four total sea days! That's sort of still my prized cruise, but a one or two sea day looks great too. I think I'll go with the drink package. I enjoy diet soda even though I'm keto. My vacations I splurge a bit. Normally it's a limit of two caffeinated drinks a day. Coffee in AM and soda for lunch or dinner. Glad to see the 12 pack of sodas is lasting!

Love this video and glad you guys had a fantastic time. I was there 10 years ago and it was a bit dumpy. Its an industrial canal that was converted into a tourist trap LOL I dont like that the water is so shallow and what a rip off to tell Jason he needed to rent a life vest to go into the deeper water with the slides. Clearly those should have been included in the price. I also don't like how they have the caged dolphins underwater. I am in the minority but I did not enjoy this place. I prefer a real beach with ocean access. But so glad you had a good time.

I am going on my first cruse ever on the carnival breeze and it is stopping in Yucatan and Cozumel can anyone suggest any ease excursions? at either of those places? I really want it to be a great experience for us. my 78 yr old grandma will be with us. and none of us are in the best shape if you know what I mean.

We're going next week. We have a senior citizen with us. From the ship to the ferry, will it be easy for him to get to it? a tram or a short walk from the ship? short meaning less than 1/4 mile.

Probably not because it could be already booked up and it’s just best to book excursions in advance ensuring that you get your spot! Also right now during COVID times we definitely recommend booking through the cruise line.
