Reconstructed (aggressively mashed to pulp and mixed together) from one of the few available live recordings and their KCRW 2007 perf, unreleased Arctic Monkeys song that was originally supposed to be on their single "Teddy Picker" (2007), but was scrapped for "rEaSoNs".
The main source is from some very old gig recorded by a who-knows-who with a who-knows-what. So sound quality is awful. I mean, I've tried to do some exorcism there, but I don't have enough FoRcE (skill) to make it behave.
*UPDATE*
Found a slightly different version of this on my old HDD. I remember that I was experimenting with the ending, since there is literally no ending to this song other then the instant transition to "This House Is A Circus". The result is maybe _somewhat_ _sloppy_ , but overall, I like it way more then the one in this vid and I can't even remember why I've chosen to upload it as it is.
Anyhow, I don't want to reupload so here's the link to check out this experimental ending version: app.box.com/s/23vkalil9oskpchqlrf0ixs058m366po
Have a good day.
luv the little details that you have with this
@@selfishreindeer4092
that ending is ace
@@teslatube8018 Thank you. I was actually anxiously waiting for feedback on this.
That sounds amazing in all honesty! Like a mix between the intro from If You Were There Beware and the outro from The Jeweller’s Hands!
opened with this when i seen them at the gmex in 2007. supported by the rascals and the horrors. unreal gig
Thanks a lot for that, I really enjoy the song
Wow.. u are wonderful! idk how u do it but these Are really good... u may not be as good as "Constantine" but DAM its REALLY good non-the-less TY
Awesome
nice!
This song isn't in Spotify? I need this and Put Me In A Terror Pocket, doesnt matter the quality
Doubt that it'll ever happen, sorry. There's no official releases, so...
Hi - not sure if you'll actually see this but recently a much higher quality version of the KCRW live performance from 2007 got released - which is what I think you used in the intro to transition into Sandtrap with. I've tried to make a version of this with the higher quality intro (although the main song is still low quality as it was just a straight radio recording AFAIK) so just comment if you'd like me to link it!
Hey! Go for it. Would love to hear your take on this.
@@MeetraSurik Got it! I still need to work on some stuff (for example I think I need to balance the volume between the intro and the main song a bit better and I think the fade is a bit weird on my edit) but for now I think this is okay. Note: it's based off of the extended outro version that you posted as the pinned comment (which is excellent, by the way :D)

Wow. I'm just immidiatly shocked by how much difference this makes. The balance is a problem though, yeah. I now think that I was kinda lucky with my shit on shit sources :D
Ugh. If only we had a decent recording of the main part..
But good work nontheless! Do you plan to continue working on it btw?
I'd honestly love to see a new page of Make Sandtrap Great Again story. I was recently thinking about giving it another try myself, but meh. I actually started to tinker with it in 2010 I think and now I'm just tired and want somebody else to do it :P
@@MeetraSurik Thank you, firstly! Your reconstruction has always been my absolute definitive way to listen to Sandtrap, so I'm hugely grateful for you putting it together!
I may actually work on it a bit more, fixing the audio balancing is one of my main todos but also messing around with noise profiles and reducing background noise might be able to do something for the low quality bit. I really wish they'd played with lyrics at KCRW, then we'd have a lovely studio quality recording right there and done.
But, until we get a rarities compilation, this is really the closest we'll get to a full quality Sandtrap. I might actually mess around with the recording of them from Alexandria Palace at the end of the tour, depending on how good the quality is on that!
@@coldzero8584 Aww, stawp it. I was just a little too high and had a little too much spare time. No skill and no knowing what the hell am I doing.
I wish you all the luck. You'll need it.
And keep me posted on your progress please!
Now do the same with Put me in a Terror Pocket pls (jks ik its impossible)
Oh, how many times have I tried to do something with it...
What about Steepest Little Secret? (Jk it’s also impossible)
Wait a second. Isn't it just a pre-release name for Dance Little Liar??
@@MeetraSurik you ever do a Terror Pocket in the end?
As I said above - I tried. Look: Put Me In A Terror Pocket and Sandtrap both are live-only. So there's a lot of noises and a shitty sound quality in both cases. But with Sandtrap, the crowd is pretty quiet and it really sounds like the recording was made by someone ON the stage. And damn, I think that someone with real skill could actually fix 90% of my version's problems. Put Me In A Terror Pocket is a different thingie. There are a couple of different recordings one can find on the internets, and they all share the same fatal flaw: You can hear the cheering and some dudes conversations better than the actual song. And the stage sounds kinda far on top of that. I don't know how to fix shit like that. And I don't know if it's even fixable. Makes me sad too, cause I really like that song :_(
reused some of the lyrics in evil twin
God, is that you?
Yes my son.
You wanted to ask about the dinosaurs?
Yeah.
They're dead, lol.
Hah
Sorry

wut? no. it's Turner.
ohh my mistake i saw the description and i got confused nice work then :D
Oh, okay. Thank you :)
this kinda sounds like The Rascals (Miles Kane)
