Hey thank you. 65 YO that needed to replace my 20 YO Taylor Made RAC's. I just bought the Smoke AI. I appreciate the great info. I was worried I made the wrong choice, but after watching this feel more confident in my choice. I don't struggle with getting the ball in the air, more with distance and I had more straight shots with the Smoke AI than with the Taylor Made and Pings I tried. Also really liked the look better.
WOW!! I'm a 36 YO looking to replace MY 20 YO Taylor Made RAC's!!! I just bought the Smoke AI's as well! Good luck with yours, can't wait for mine to arrive!
@@kpw219 And to you! It was funny, while I was at the golf shop there was another gent buying clubs and he was also replacing 20 YO RAC'S. Must be the year! 😂
Same here, soon to be 66 y/o looking to replace a 12 y/o set of Ping I-20 s (with stiff shafts). Got fitted 3 days ago for the Smoke AI. Watching this convinced me that it was a great choice. Thanks!
Just got fitted by a callaway rep and I fit into the HL. Elevate 95, Stiff, 2 degrees up. Swing speed 85. Was using Mizuno JPX 923 stiff. AI smoke seems to be a great fit for my swing. I will check back in a month.
@@chanman21titans45I also went Ai Smoke HL’s. Higher launch angle and flight with steeper decent while still averaging about 7-8 yards longer. No matter how much I wanted the Mizzuno’s it just didn’t make sense if I wanted a better product for my game.
Your angle of attack is great, but your dynamic loft is off the charts 27.7 and 29.2, respectively. You are presenting a very open face. I know you know all this, but for any amateurs watching, this is something to look out for when getting fitted. Classing this as a 6i with the loft on them, Great review 👍
Jim, I am getting fit for new smoke irons in a week. I will be getting fit with regular graphite shafts most likely Accra TZi or Axiom or something in between. Your testing was with the longer stock shafts. How much of a difference do you think there will be with a shorter normal fitted shaft if any!!!!
Good stuff. Demoed the standard ai smoke 4 hybrid. Amazing results. I currently have g710 irons. I am a sweeper with a moderate swing speed who plays courses with medium to firm turf. I do benefit from some offset and forgiveness but I think the wide sole of the g710 is too much at times. I hit lower bounce wedges better than wedges with high bounce. Thinking to try out the standard ai smoke iron. Can you suggest any other iron to try out? Is there such thing as a max forgiveness low bounce wedge or iron? I Already tried g430 and did not get along with them.
Hi mate I have callaway rogue at the moment 6 years old was looking to up grade for more distance in 60 years young handicap 18 which would be better callaway paradym x or the callaway smoke been watching a lot of video on both cheers mate from down under
I totally agree with you. I just can't ever see buying irons every year. I just don't play enough nor get better enough(funny how that works, huh) for a players club workability. So, I tend to wait for updated clubs 5 years. When I do that, I can see so gains(at times), plus I have been wanting something new anyway. I'm just being honest about my game.
Jim, how come you guys are not at the PGA show this year?? I always look forward to your daily productions from there and I have learned a lot thru the past years on stuff not seen thru the golf channel and other sites.

Wow I’m literally debating between these exact iron sets rn. Do you have a huge preference for either set since you started using the AI smokes?

Any update? My 7i swing is 87 and the fitter said I was too fast for the HL but I really liked it
@@benmeetsworldprobably but if you’re not getting the ball in the air HL should work. I am slower so in the Max Fast

I would think a lot of senior golfers watch your videos. Would have liked to see you hit the Max Fast.
You are a true club respect not taken off the smok another great video
I remember buying the Bridgestone J15DF irons and everyone talking me down for using “hollow irons.” My, how times are changing.

How do these compare against last years Paradym max irons?

Great video❤
I have last year’s paradym x irons I’m sticking with those this year I don’t think the improvement is significant enough to switch
I would agree.

How would you compare the HL to the Wilson dynpower
thank you
How would you compare AI smoke vs regular paradym?
Can you advise what would happen if you made the ai smoke irons 1/2 degrees weaker
Ball flight slightly higher. Distance slightly shorter , very close to hitting the HL model
Nice....Thanks
Why didn't you hit the max iron? That's why i watched this video. Disappointed 😢
