One of my favorite TOOL songs. The shit is just amped up to the max, and the message of consumerism from the perspective of am artist just trying to do their shit, finally getting paid, & then being reprimanded for achieving said popularity because “man, they sold out;” it just hits me in the feels as an artist sometimes. I can relate. To quote one of my favorite Titus tv-show lines, “we can’t even sell out cause we haven’t sold a gd thing.”

Tool is an amazing band that will take you on a journey. Just make sure you do Lyric videos, cause their videos are really trippy and usually distract people from the music and message of the song.

"Pushit" is one of Tool's much more emotional songs off the same album as this one. Personally, I prefer the studio version over the live Salival version but if you were to react to it that'd obviously be up to you.

Fun Fact: Record label at the time wanted a heavier song, so they got one. Rosetta Stoned is their most insane song, 10,000 days part 1&2 is their deepest and most moving, Lateralus and Schism are instrumental masterpieces, great places to start if you're new listening to tool. Subscribed :)

the crazy thing about the 90S, musically, is that alot of the alternative/grunge was so pure and fresh but rootsy and comfortable. people had a tendancy to think success ruined a band. sometimes it would. especially if the content was about personal problems. seemed to diminish with money and fame. harder to draw on a subject that doesnt effect you as much. being rejected, etc... makes it harder to connect with the listener. thats what drew them there. some bands tried to claim that they werent sellouts but others like tool and the smashing pumpkins welcomed it. check out cherub rock. also about selling out. what musician doesnt want to at least be able to live off what they love

New subscriber here, you can't really go wrong with Tool.
If you want to try something from there catalogue that's not quite as full on you could try Parabol/Parabola or Lateralus for something a little more thought provoking and uplifting. Or if you want to try something really different from my country New Zealand you should do a reaction to the official video for Kaitangata by Alien weaponry. These guys are still in there teens making waves in the metal world combining thrash metal with Te reo Maori which is our indigenous language in NZ. The first comment on their official video has translated lyrics which would be helpful for you.
