He preaches execution, details, ….., and nothing gets fixed. His offense is so predictable most high school teams could stop us. So sad….
While I'm not sold on the play calling. His play calling didn't cause the defense to get run over all game.
Main thing I don't like about his play calling is that it limits the margin of error each game. Like how it was with muschamp. Changes likely won't get made until offseason or until Stricklin is fired
Well its more than just play calling.. He got a 54 rating from Sporting News last in the SEC! Someone was like that is there opinion... NO ITS NOT AN OPINION.. It is based on Offense, Defense and Special Teams. Its like a report Card and if you had a report card like this back in the day... 54 is an F!!! F grade now I know they changed things from when I went to school so F means FAILING. FAILURE! NOT PASSING!! LOL SEE WHAT I DID THERE NOT PASSING..

stoops does what all great coaches do and is really good at finding coaching talent. vince marrow, brad white, liam coen. every off season UK fans are worried about our coordinators getting poached for head coaching jobs which is a problem we have never had before.

Thanks for giving them there flowers people think Florida just had a bad game and people are just now slowly giving Ky credit but this has building for 4 or 5 years now and as a Ky fan it was not all that surprising that we won I think outsiders just take notice at the way they won

@nickstosser I'm a UT fan.. I agree anything can happen.. that's a fact.. I just don't think Kentucky is ready for Georgia.. my vols found out the hard way last year when we went to Athens.. They just had NFL talent everywhere.. Although they look a lot more beatable this year than they did last year.. But that's probably only because they haven't faced anyone who excites them yet..

First play by Kentucky offense, Georgia don't know who but someone one Georgia will come right up the middle hit DAVIS 2 or 3 yards in the back field pull the ball from his hands run it back for a touchdown, 7-0 Georgia. It will be 21-0 Georgia at the end of the half. Kentucky will never be in the game and Georgia will be looking like the best team ever why? Because Georgia will put one more man in the box... something Florida couldn't do for 3 quarters!!!!! Coaching is why Florida lost to Kentucky NOTHING MORE. FLORIDA IS MORE TALENT AN BETTER... I think this game will be a lot closer than a lot of people think as a Kentucky fan I would like to see us win it I don’t think we will but who knows there’s always a chance, but I still think Georgia is ahead of us but if I Alphonse can click on the passing game and Defense plays extremely well, this could be a battle a close game and that’s our bread and butter. Dan Mullen didn't have anything to do with how lame Napier's offense is. I think he just called another 5 yard hitch route or was it a run into an 8 man box. Either way he really got him on that 3rd and long. 4th down incoming.

Kentucky fan here. Excellent summation of the Stoops program. It has taken him 10 years to get the program to where it is. Florida is young and the coach is only 2 years in. Losses like this, while gut wrenching, are sometimes necessary. The team will learn from it and be challenged by it. The staff will see more of their weaknesses and begin to address them. Vandy and SC will be good opponents to see if any lessons were learned before you take on the buzz saw we face next week.

This is the most cordial and accurate post I’ve ever seen about college football. Things take time. As Kentucky fans, we know this.
They were riding on the Urban Meyer brand. Florida was holding on to it for dear life as long as they could and now that brand is dead officially their irrelevant. That Florida team had alot of resemblances to kentucky during their come up before they established thier brand.
They have a solid w against Tennessee that just shows any week can go either way. Not a bad team. We all need time to develop some times. As the original post states, stoops has been working on KY for years now. It definitely hasn’t come easy.

Not taking anything away from Kentucky, but Florida lost that game more than Kentucky won it.
Happy for the Cats. 300+ rushing yards is no joke. That’s an incredible feat. Especially because Vanderbilt, yes Vanderbilt held Davis to only 78 yards… Florida did too many things to themselves to even remotely compete in that game.
UGA, who isn’t a grand juggernaut either this year will easily win against Kentucky by 14 no doubt.
The east is just completely not that great across the board currently. Florida who was looking at a realistic 7-5 possibly 8-4 year on an extreme high note is now looking at a 6-6 best or 4-8 year. I’m seeing a 5-7 year with high hopes

This is not bad play calling ,this is a team with no discipline ,no fire ,no anticipation and apparently no goals! We'll find out just how good Kentucky is this Saturday in Athens GA! Win there and I'll be convinced this loss was legitimate ,of not then the gators have some serious problems in that program that need addressed and it probably will have to start with the coaches!

Lot of good points. As a FSU fan, we went through this a couple of years ago with my team. Now we are a top team and everything seems like it's going our way. If he can prepare the team like he did against Tennessee, you got a bright future.

He absolutely must do something about special teams and he really either needs to retool his offense or hire a new OC who calls plays and has some ideas about offense that belong in this decade. Leary is not the player he was at NC State. Do not know if it was the surgery or just between the ears? After his play after five games, he does not deserve the hype. The receivers are average at best. Is it time to lessen playing time and let other receivers have a chance. Same mistakes over and over again. The Offensive line, defense, and Ray Davis are playing their tales off. Special teams overall are playing good. Is it like the other years after a 5-0 start? 7-5 is going to happen if QB and receiving play does not improve. Over 48 points left on the field in five games. This is the SEC, not the OVC. I’m not disappointed that we lost that game but more on HOW we lost the game. We can’t expect the defense to keep us in the game week in week out! There will be times when the defense just doesn’t show up (Kentucky) and that’s when we need our offense to step it up. Unfortunately, Billy Napier’s play calling is very vanilla. Nothing exciting about it. Even when we beat Tennessee, play calling was ok! We NEED an OC stat. I know it’s the beginning/mid part of the season, but get someone now to start learning the system with some spark! Prep for next season. BN needs to act as CEO. These ups and downs are really showing in his weekly performances. I’m not one that wants BN fired, I want to see him step out of his bubble and MAKE THE NECESSARY changes!

No but what that stat does tell you is GRAHAM MERTZ SHOULD BE THROWING THE BALL MORE AND TO STOP RUNNING THE BALL.. It is time to be a PASS FIRST TEAM. Spread out 4 wide receivers NO TIGHT ENDS... NOT UNLESS KYLE PITTS COME BACK. Ricky should be in the slot he is more fitted to be in the slot. Outside Receivers should be Calab Douglas and Kahleil Jackson both who are 6'3 over 200 ibs. Ricky only 6'1 and so is Andy Jean, Aiden is 6'2 how ever these are speed guys who need the ball in open field your not going to get that on the outside. 3 wide outs set to one side with Calab on island, this could set up some really nasty one on one and even set up some quick throws that could be used like a running game. Best part is defenses would have to stay honest because bring a blitz at the wrong time and it going to be 6 for Florida.

The Gators are 1-7 on the road. They lost to Tennessee, Georgia, Vandy, Florida State, Oregon State, now Utah, and Kentucky on the road under Billy "Black Shirt" Napier.
Florida didn’t come to play it’s plain and simple. Run defense was horrible. Nobody wanted to tackle. For some reason when we play at 11am central they never show up.
Coach Crawfish has beaten ONE rival in two seasons. Look ahead to next season- YIKES. Prime already has the Lagway flip in the bag. Only handful of players gathered for the Alma mater after the game. Bayou Boy done lost the team.
Ky just has Florida’s number but Ky is still Ky and will end up with 4 and probably 5 losses! Ky and Mizzou makes their schedule to guarantee bowl eligibility! Stoops is the most overrated coach there is in CFB! Take the time to go back during his term there and see who the wins are against! Shameful
