Hardly!! Another George Foreman, Lennox Lewis etc for sure but not Tyson. He was very limited and was stopped every time he stepped up. He also looked mediocre against B & C level opponents which his fanboys and excuse makers always seem to conveniently forget.
Again his fanboys will come at me for this but he avoided guys. He avoided Bowe and paid Lewis step aside money to not fight him and only eventually took the Lewis fight because he was broke.
His style was eye catching and when he was knocking out lower level opponents it looked amazing, he had an encyclopedia of excuses for every loss and a well oiled media team around him to hype him up but the reality is he was quite limited and not even top 10 all time HW nevermind number 1. Despite what his fanboys on here and Twitter say, he was good sure but not great.

Absolutely. We had AJ fighting tomato can after tomato can instead of stepping up to fight a top 3. Fury even came out of retirement after weighing 30 stone and had a fight with Wilder in a matter of months. Thank God AJ is no longer holding the division to ransom. It's becoming a trend. What's also becoming a trend are the re,match after re,match after re,match clauses unless it's absolutely nessesery and for a legitimate reason then fine. But just because they Feel they might loose so it's in the contract clause. I feel sorry for fighters waiting behind that are coming into there prime and are being made to stagnate as there the ones being hurt. But it's okay for the top boys that are established to just play around with each other. No is the answer.

The biggest issue is governing bodies not ordering mandatories or purse bids. The WBA hadnt issued a mandatory since Joshua fought povetkin 5 years ago. Thats absurd. The WBC have came out and said that ordering a mandatory for Fury would be damaging to the sport but him fighting an 0-0 mma fighter isnt? Why didnt they order purse bids against Wilder and Ruiz? They should have ordered purse bids and if one if rhem pulled out then go to the next ranked fighter. Absurd sport.
