Thanks so much for posting the career of one of the all time greats, James Lofton is on my all time NFL team as my #3 receiver, I have Jerry Rice #1 & Julio Jones #2 as the two ahead of him on my all time team
You’re not the first person I’ve heard saying this. I’ve heard many discussions of men saying pound for pound that they’d take Lofton over Rice or at the very least Lofton could rival Rice. So many great players in the history of the league, especially wide receiver - this channel has opened my eyes even more to players of the past. I’m grateful for the game of football. Julio would be in my top 10.
James Lofton had an impressive NFL career with 14,004 receiving yards. He was also known for his deep-threat capabilities. He was a great route runner as well.🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈
I was playing fantasy football before it was a thing back in the 80's when James Lofton was at his peak. I used to keep stats of him vs the other greats of that time like Mike Quick, Art Monk, Steve Largent, etc. LOL just thinking, back then back shoulder passes were not even a thing. And even though the Pack was garbage for most of his stay there I still loved watching him play. Those 20 yard outs from Lynn Dickey were a thing of beauty.
Awesome! Grew up in Wisconsin watching him. He was incredible
