I tried these on last weekend and found them extremely odd for an everyday shoe. I was looking for a good walking shoe, but one that I could wear everywhere. I can see how the rocking motion of the sole would be great for walking and forward propulsion but after that I could not see them for everyday all day use. The rocking motion felt like I was very unstable and about to fall over. I'm glad I saw this video and heard about the hot spots because that is something you just can't easily pick up on when trying things on in a store. Outside of those hot spots, I could see these shoes being pretty good if you wore different shoes everywhere and only pulled these out when you arrived at your walking destination. I ended up going with a different pair of Keens for my walking shoes, the Keen Versacore Speed, and they feel great.
Thanks for the comment. I agree it’s a good concept but misses the mark for me. The rocker outsole is central to my foot and I agree does give a bit of balance off put. It’s supposed to feel propulsive but unless you land just so it feels like the shoe is fighting you. I’m happy that my review helped point out some potential issues for you. My little toes still seem to get wrapped up in the lateral toebox and it’s still quite noticeable. It was an expensive well built shoe so I’m still wearing it for work and what not. I wear thick socks that help. I looked at the versacore based on your comment: that looks like a decently built shoe and happy to hear you had a good experience. I wonder how it compares to the wk400? Thanks!
They run true to size. Make sure it has a good return policy. My pinky toes getter rubbed wrong in them. Fine on a regular day but any big walks and I feel it. No soon breakdown just noticeable. Thanks!
Can’t disagree. I figured I’d try this direction and it’s a no. Keen brings to mind fat, stout toe boxes and sturdy uppers. The construction of this is good but that toe box is shaped like the front of a speed boat. Not to mention they weight a good bit. I lean towards Altra/Hoka for everyday shoes. For walking I aim for support and cushion for running

Do these sneakers run small or true to size? I don't want to get the wrong size...Thanks!

They’re nylon, not carbon plates.
Yes you’re right. My bad. It’s a full length nylon plate. Cheers
Not as good as they advertise. I choose Hoka over any Keen any time. Keen lost their focus.

Do guys happen to know which Hoka has an aggressive rocker curve?
Hmm, maybe the Mach series?
