If I want to add scent right before I put my line in the water would you suggest skipping the slamola. Do you think it would create a weird mix of scent? I bought some slamola and can’t tell what it’s suppose to smell like. I’ve had great luck using R fly(black licorice) on corn for Kokanee. Also works great for big trout on flies.
Hey, yeah you can add scent to it right before and skip what ever step you like! I think there are many great combinations you could try this one in particular worked great for me! Give it a shot only reason I like to brine mine over night so the scent stays in the corn longer in the water it absorbs the brine over night. That’s awesome bro, I will have to give the balcony licorice a try!
@@walkingonwaterfishing it’s kind of hard to find they only sell it at Black Sheep and the General Store in Spokane. It’s a true licorice smell unlike anise, which has a mild hint of licorice. Both are good but I’ve used R fly more. Plus is not messy it’s a spray.
Forsure haha I doubt it works any better than regular anise I just like it plus it’s locally made. Some of the other anise scents smell pretty close but others don’t have enough of a licorice scent for me
Thanks for the very informative, well explained, and no B.S. video’s!
I have only subscribed to 3 channels in 10 years, 4 now 😉
Thank you a ton Leon! I really appreciate that. That a means a lot!!
For the pro cure slam, do you use the garlic or regular scent? Thanks
During the late spring and summer I have moved to garlic bloody tuna scent!
Is the slam-ola, just regular flavor or garlic or another flavor?
@@briantongue1866 I use reg than now I add a lil garlic bloody tuna sceent
@@briantongue1866 I’m sure the garlic will slay though
Does this stain your hands when you're fishing and how do you wash your hands if they're stained?
I always wear gloves not because the stains which it does stain your hands I wear gloves to prevent the fish from smelling my scent on the bait!
What kind of fish are you catching with this corn??

Hey thanks a ton for the sub! I use a bloody tuna on occasion! Made by pro cure it works pretty good
Looks good! Thanks for the info!
You bet!
The Kokanees I see in the creeks don't eat nothing but a bothersome Kastmaster.
I tried this recipe today at Bullards ,not one biter for 4 hours switched to fire corn and garlic sent and limited. Maybe to much salt corn dried out.
Thats wild, i use the same brined corn everytime out and always come back with fish! im glad you found somthing that works for you though!
You can buy the dye in just cut the bs
No bite attraction but yes you can!
That looks awesome!
