- Huw Edwards’ “long-earned reputation is in tatters”, a judge has said as he sentenced the former BBC presenter for accessing indecent images of children.
The disgraced ex-newsreader was spared jail after admitting three charges of “making” indecent photographs after he was sent 41 illegal images by convicted paedophile Alex Williams over WhatsApp.
The 63-year-old was handed a six-month prison sentence, suspended for two years, during a hearing at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Former Conservative MP Tom Hunt says it's "extremely wrong" disgraced BBC presenter Huw Edwards didn't get jail time for his sex offences.
"The BBC keeps on getting it so wrong on so many levels... millions of people are resenting being legally compelled to subsidise them!"

I see on one news report today that acording to one top man at the BBC , it was unlikely that Huw Edwards would ever work for them again. Unlikely !! , i would think "no chance whatsoever" would have been a more appropriate response.
