As an ex-manager of staff, i had on several occasions, staff that would be sick for 6 months and then have a miraculous recovery when they go on half pay In the NHS you get full pay for 6 months, half pay for 6 months and then no pay after a year. You need a certificate from a GP but it’s easy to obtain I’ve also had staff return on the last day of being off for the year HR is a waste of space in the NHS, only interested in ‘diversity’ and self promotion, made me sick! Now happily retired😂
