Love your channel, the down to earth style of presenting and working on these busses is great. I've got a 81' aircooled Doka that im restoring right now (ex german red cross).
What works great as a general cleaner for the undercarriage is simple green and hot water. Pop that in a power washer system. Smells good, degreases and just eats away grime. Safe for the metal surfaces won’t eat rubber off. It’s also pretty good on interior surfaces.
This is the best VW channel on the "Interwebs". So user friendly! I have stocked my 84 Westy with all the things and managed to get home serval times because of your videos. Thanks so much and keep doing what your doing.

Your videos are awesome! Hope you do some more. What are you thoughts on diesel vanagons? Easy to diagnose and work on vs waterboxer ?There's an 1982 mint westy near me that has a turbo diesel a22 1.9L with 80k on the motor, 170k on the body .It's very tempting.

Nice idea on concealing the battery. Actually, that is a great battery option for a Vanagon / Syncro. I am trying to keep areas near water separate from electrical things. Cool CB idea too! Appreciate your videos.
I have bigger concerns with water escaping then it damaging the top posts of my battery. It would take a standing puddle of 10” of water in the entire bus to damage the battery.
It’s 14 days of driving round trip, so…. We’d require a sponsorship package- but I’m not against it! Email me how you’d like to fund a 30+ day round trip rescue for 3+ people.
Always alot of fun watching your videos. Do you happen to have video of the under dash diesel heater installation? I like the idea of utilizing unused space instead of good storage area under the bench seat.
I watched Heidi you had the blue bus, the parts bus and another one and it made me laugh bc y'all were heading out and the blue bus sounded better than the others. The other bus was the white one. How much would you charge for that one?
Great videos please keep them coming! What happened with the other red Westfalia that you went to see 15 minutes away from Heidi? Thanks Elmer in Seattle.
Thank you for your time and effort putting together these videos, I truly enjoy watching your progress! What are your thoughts on the Mansi rocker upgrade, is it worth the $$?
Yes. I don’t believe that every performance part works, I don’t believe the injectors are truly an “upgrade” per say (as an example)- but the ratio rockers do a specific thing to optimize the engine, and they create noticeable results. Probably the first/single best bolt on horsepower upgrade to the wbxer.
@@TheBarefootForge industrial grade two part epoxy primer, the stuff used on bridges, paper mills, offshore structures etc. I've painted the entire underbody of my Pajero with this stuff (and Interthane 990 polyurethane 2K paint as a top coat, with spray-on seam sealer in between these paints - see 3M MS, Teroson, Sika SikaFlex 529 - what factory used and skimped on) and I'm planning the same for my VW T3 bus once I finish the Pajero. I've used these industrial paints on the invisible parts (underbody, suspension, engine bay) so didn't care about the appearance, I wanted it in every nook and cranny and thick layers. For the visible parts of the car that had bodywork done I've used standard automotive system - epoxy primer, base colour and clear coat. You can find similar industrial grade paints from the likes of PPG (Sigmacover) or TransOcean (Transpoxy Masterbond Aluminium).
i can't believe time time and $$$ you're investing in this van. I can't believe the stainless steel filler pipe didn't fit perfect. I had a laugh seeing you "persuading" it to fit with a hammer & 2x4.
Idk. I don’t try to fill in all the details, just place The story and keep it moving. Sorry for the holes, I’ll take it up with the director and production team at the next paid staff meeting.

There has to be a load on the circuit for the LED in the blown fuse to light up.
Nah, none of them worked. In any condition.

You should use some Interplus 356 for the crunchy parts. We use that a lot on T4s in Europe.
