    Mam I have a doubt please do clarify this
    JJ Thompson found out the charge to mass ratio..
    To find that ratio he has to divide the charge and mass of electron right??How did he manage to get the ratio?
    I mean to say...since the mass of electron was found by Millikan's experiment..how was the ratio already considered?

    Very nice explanation madam. Your presentation is extraordinary. I request you to clarify me a doubt, i.e., is there no proportionality relation between mass and voltage applied on drop to make it stationary? What I mean to say is if mass is 5.9 the value is 160 zeptoC, for 3.7 it is 480 and for 9.8 it is 640, for 6.2 it is 800.

  • @AMARJEETKAUR-uj8vc
    @AMARJEETKAUR-uj8vc 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Q .. how will u suspend a position particle with a negative down plate.. gravity will pull it secondly negative charge would would attract it.. it cant be suspended in air.. if u do it the other way around making upper plate negative isn't it that it will stick to it instead of going down... Please reply..

    • @SeemaDhawanArora
      @SeemaDhawanArora  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      AMARJEET KAUR It is the negative electrons that are suspended after ionization, not positive ions. That should verify your doubts.

      Because anything that has electric charge also has a magnetic charge. So it is affected by a magnetic field too.
