Kings Park one of the largest city parks in the world was established in 1895 with the purpose and foresight by its founders to be a protected space to show future generations what the natural vegetation of the area looked like. At the time Perth only had a population of around 20 thousand people.

Not really, I lived there. Australia is a huge country. Not a stuffed as Europe or Asia. That is an asset.
I agree, Perth is only geographically isolated, but it's an enriched city to live or visit.
