Hey guys, welcome to the second ukulele lesson on this channel. Today I want to show you how to play a beautiful Spanish chord progression on the tenor ukulele.
The most popular Spanish chord progression is the one built on the i, VII, VI, and V degree of the minor scale. In this lesson, we will be taking a look at a Spanish chord progression in G minor so that the chords will be Gm, F, Eb, and D.
I structured the song in three different sections.
Section 1. Chords and melody played in fingerstyle.
Section 2. Chords played with the strumming technique.
Section 3. Chords and melody played with strumming and fingerstyle.
If you are a ukulele beginner, I recommend that you start by learning the chord progression and strum the chords for a while. Once you feel comfortable with the chord changes, you can then apply the fingerpicking pattern and the melody shown in the video.

I have been playing for a week and I'm getting it, but you might have to watch the video several times and try it. A little difficult to catch but if you work hard, you can do it!
Yep. Takes some work and practice. I've been playing uke for a week and I got this one (all except the final melody picking) within an hour or so. If I could suggest 1 thing to help the video though, it would be to just show a picture of the chord on screen as you are talking about it. More work to make the video, but much easier to learn from. Still a great teacher though.

You are very talented, Marco. I think you should investigate the Venezuelan Cuatro. It's also 4 strings, looks like a baritone uke but a touch bigger. It's tuned with special set of strings A D F# B. Sounds great and is perfect for Spanish sounding music.

Marco this is so freaking awesome. I'm learning to play guitar and I have a concert ukulele as well and learning that as well. I eventually want to concentrate on spanish music because I love it so much due to my heritage. I'm spanish and have lots of ancestry from spain so it calls to me. In your opinion which is the best ukulele to play spanish music on? I'm not asking for a brand just concert , tenor or baritone? I was thinking of getting a classical guitar but if it can be done on a ukulele I'd prefer that because I just want to have one acoustic guitar and one classical instrument. thanks for your time and your beautiful music

That sounds really good but this isn't really a tutorial more than just showing off uke skills. I have watched the video 4 times just to get the first finger picking style right. And thr link is useless just has the same things written on TH-cam copy and pasted onto the website.
