@@ThatsBadTVNASCAR champions clinching before the last race had no impact on whether the finale would be a good race. The Monterey (IndyCar) Grand Prix was still an exciting race, despite Alex Palou securing the title a week earlier at Portland.
NASCAR tries too hard to make every race dramatic and exciting lap after lap. When that doesn't happen the people are unhappy, because that's what they've been trained to expect. This leads to a viscious cycle of piling on gimmicks to try to force it. Now we have scheduled cautions, points resets, choked back race cars (often the pace car has more horsepower than the race cars), and a series so strictly officiated a piece of packing tape on your car will lead to disqualification. It's no wonder some are nonplussed. NASCAR has to get back to the basics. It seems so simple.
Nascar abandoned its old fans. The ones who grew up watching them in the 90s who now have kids. I live in new england. One of the big apeals was that it was a unique southern sport with great personalities.
Need to jack up the next generation car and bring the previous gen car back. I don't think it's saving the owners any money in the racing. Pretty much sucks
Biggest thing is getting true costs down so a sponsor can be on the car year round and fans can identify with a car/sponsor/driver. Nascar has way too much staff, teams have way too many staff. Get rid of the pork.
Get the engineers out , get rid of single parts suppliers make the cars more like local late models with multiple parts suppliers make it where a short track driver can show up at Bristol or any other track with his car and try to qualify his way in the field when you start using cars and parts that have multiple suppliers and lots of availability cost drops and teams aren’t so reliant on sponsors
They need Dale Jr as president that would solve a lot of this bullshit he knows better than anybody else or he knows people to put in the right positions
Honestly, fans fade out along with their favorite drivers, the older generation who grew up watching Dale Sr to Dale Jr are fading and will be gone when harvick Denny and Kyle leave. They have personality which most of the drivers today dont have. Future will depend on the automotive direction. They will push EV and nascar cannot use EV and stay relevant.
NASCAR has been on a downward spiral since that stupid "Talladega Nights" movie came out. That's when they decided to go for real "commercial". They've been cratering since. I don't miss watching it. Notice how many veterans are retiring? Some are doing so because of safety concerns. Many are doing so because they see the sport going to pot. And this was me being nice in my take. I could've been ugly.
nobody's gonna like this comment.. but if you want the next Alan Kulwicki, you gotta bring back the next Hoosier. Walls are safer, neck bracing is better. cars are cookie cutter boring.. need to have more than one tire brand on the track.
Noah did nothing wrong...single source parts is a huge scam....give the cars back to the mechanics, these guys have talent, not just parts replacers....how chicken shit is fines for spoiler hardware....it's nuts and bolts
Nascar will never be what it once was. Especially when they promote douchebags like Bubba Smollet. Love how outspoken Hamlin is though, hes worth watching atleast along with the other top 4. This season the 4 at the top are where they should be. Crap like they did to the #4 taking his 2nd place finish away shows the incompetence of Nascar, it passed prerace inspection and it was missed. That was Nascar shifting their screw up away cuz god forbid they take blame for anything ever
Except for a very few we never see an American flag on a car, off track conduct of a few drivers given a pass by the media, good drivers lost because of the playoffs, I could go on.
Up until sometime in the 90's drivers were accessible to the fans. They got to be prim a-donnas and no longer want to deal with the fans. This has a lot to do with why NASCAR is not as popular. They are no longer personable.
Really like Charlotte but there are so many good road courses out there without putting a few turns in the infield and even giving them a cute names (rival) keep the dirt out of Bristol stick road courses and leave stadiums for football games Kenny you’re doing a great job and up date on your friend Jughead would be nice
We watch every NASCAR cup race and now our friends and relatives are watching them too! We are all Logano fans and love that he has a great personality and is a 2 time Champion!! We like the current playoff format as it is exciting and has produced legitimate champions.
Some people say "the stands are full" but there are not. NASCAR has\d to remove every other row at tracks just to fill in seats! That’s not good. The car still sucks a bit and stages and playoffs really turned my interest off. I get it’s modern times but when you break tradition so bad, YOU LOSE
I lost interest in it 3 yrs ago. The empty stands .... Simple everyone has a big nice tv. Went to one race Bristol truck race 2015. 90 degrees 2 rain delays. That dome doesn't let any air flow. I'll never go back to an actual race.. tv i might watch a little of 2 races a year. For 20 years + id cook a special dinner for me. because nobody i knew watched it. Now i forget its on most weekends.
Nascar has become bigger money IROC racing, If you want fans in the stands then put the show on as it was before covid. I dont want to travel 15 hours to watch 15 minutes of practice and qualify then race. I want to see the cars on the track, Bring back Dave Marcis and his wing tips to shake all the cars down because there is no crew chief using there ability. Let engineers do F1 and indycar and stay out of nascar
I think we are in the best position we've been in in over a decade. Even though TV is down, the core TV base is up, attendance is at its highest in years, and I think we're about to see some good things coming!
Not good when China will be building 75 percent of American cars in 5 years not good. The car nascar has come out with true fans hate it gamers like it. Now the points system will need to be changed I like less is more. First 26 races a point a race win 15 points for the most wins going into the chase. 15 drivers after 5 races find out are top ten. Once again 1 point a win 10 points most win. 5 race 10 drivers till the end. I still say 850hp on flat track or any banked 1.00 mile n less. The more fair nascar make it more money it takes. Nascar list there way with the COT
Big money has got most people that watched back in the 80's-90's turned off. More of the hardcore fans are going dirt couch racing... lol Less BS, shorter races, better story lines.
daytona talladega and atlanta r the best races because lead changes they need to make charlotte like atlanta the roval sux and go back to old point system and bring back REBEL FLAGS IN THE INFIELD LIKE IT USED TO BE
Stage racing sealed the deal for me. I’m 65 and saw all the great drivers of the 70’s & 80’s, haven’t watched in ten years!
I really think they need to get rid of stages. It ruins the race every week.
Agree. I hate stages
That insane thing called the charlotte roval is a kick in the face to racing IMO.
I hate stage racing, just go back to the old way
I've been hearing on the upswing for years . put it to where it was back in the early 2000s late 90s
NASCAR needs to get rid of the "Playoffs" and go back to a traditional points system like every other racing series.
The stages
To be fair the f1 for example is very anti climatic if I know who wins the championship 3 races before it’s over

Well stated and you are 100% Correct on everything 👏
Imagine Dale Sr in today's NASCAR
Nascar was better 30 years ago. Nascar will be done if they ever go with EV cars.
Nascar abandoned its old fans. The ones who grew up watching them in the 90s who now have kids. I live in new england. One of the big apeals was that it was a unique southern sport with great personalities.
The old way was the best way it brings out the real racecar driver wins places laps led the old way was the best way
As a fan I think as fans we lost the passion. As a fan I am not a fan of the car of tomorrow. All the cars are the same. Still a fan. Love you Kenny

NASCAR IS LOSING SIGHT OF WHAT RACING IS .
Amen brother,I totally agree
Bob was nervous Ol Herm put him on the spot 😂
Bob isn't really a speaker, he's kind of awkward, I give him grace.
Can you invite Jimmy Spencer in one of your videos
I would like to see dodge back in cup
I miss old dodge but dodge today is garbage. Taking peoples money and produce crap. Cars with half the life of others.

If you remove enough boards on a boat, do you have the same boat?
Doubtful, I see F1 expanding in the US and Nascar still stuck in their stupid 'playoffs' football crap.
Let me also add, it's in a good place for the people making money off of it. Not for the fans, drivers, and lesser performing teams I'd say.
F1 TV ratings are down this year
@@H0LLOW_PRIV Well i'm not helping with how I watch it TBF :D
