Jay x Nya is a brilliant couple- season 6 was absolutely brilliant and it was solely based around the couple. I am so so glad that they also got their happy ending. :)
6:17 The chemistry between Lloyd and Harumi is complex, tragic and interesting, and isn't something that screams _"a TV-Y7 Western animated series about LEGO ninja"._ Eliminating all the _"sHiPpInG"_ Lloyd and Harumi's relationship is one of my favourites within the Ninjago franchise. I am not a fan of the pairing, and much prefer Lloyd x Therapy, and Harumi x Therapy/Anger Management Classes.
I think that's the reason I love the couple so much is because of the complexity for a "kid's show". I mean, she buttered him up only so the reveal would hurt him more, which was her goal in the first place: to hurt him as much as possible. I remember in the beginning of season eight I was like "Sweet! Lloyd gets a girlfriend" and at the reveal I was like "Damnit this couple was so perfect 😩" I started rewatching the show in highschool and I'm glad I did, this season was nearly pitch perfect and Llorumi is part of the reason why 😍
In season 15, Ninjago City was saved, but the tragedy of the water ninja haunted the ninja, few days in HQ until they began to quarrel, terrible and usual, and that terrible tragedy destroyed the team and in season 16 episode 1 they live in separate ways
ninjago was my childhood. rewatching this on netflix 10 years later is nostalgic af. just started season 3 and after the matching machine scene i got curious about the love interests for a kids tv show :0
For Lloyd and Harumi people don’t seem to understand that you can enjoy the ship without shipping the people. Harumi was a villain, and I doubt that she actually had feelings for Lloyd. That still doesn’t change their dynamic. She’s a flirtatious person and takes pleasure in stringing him along for the pain. I think people enjoy their dynamic way more than the ship, and that should be respected more. Personally I loved LloydxHarumi even after she was revealed as the Quiet One. Yes, Lloyd and Akita was sweeter and had its chemistry but you could still see Lloyd was still hung up on Harumi that season. And that fact alone means the ship is still alive. Was really hoping for a Harumi redemption in all honesty. Because you’re right: she and Lloyd have a LOT of parallels. Lloyd released the serpentine to get revenge on the Ninja; Harumi brought back Harmadon to get revenge on the ninja. I think both of them had their regrets in the end too, and recognized their mistakes. Harumi lost her parents and Lloyd lost his father. Harumi idolized the ninja and Lloyd idolized his father. There’s just so much there that could make their relationship deeper and it’s sad to see that the writers killed her off and replaced her rather than working on her character over a couple of seasons
I’m so happy that other people ship them cause I always have and watching crystallised was amazing but shocking she’s been revived but I knew it was her straight away when she went to see Lloyd in jail ( even though it was just to bring him down )

jaya is my favorite ship too but Although Jay kept saying "I love you" nya didn't answer him,she just said it in the last resort episode and not at any other time, I don't think nya showed as much love as jay or was afraid to say it but jay's tongue swelled "I love you" but got no response and now nya is dead, i feel most sorry for jay

Season 6 did justice do their relationship though and that’s what I loved about it: After Cole revealed that Jay used his wishes to impress Nya, she was mad at him but that’s how many relationships go, in the fact that they had fights but despite this, it still worked out at the end

The Jay, Nya, Cole love triangle was made since Ninjago was gaining more female fans, but you can tell Cole never liked Nya and it was just thrown in there, there was no romantic feelings between Cole and Nya. Wu and Misako just, how would you feel if your mom started dating your uncle when your dad's not around? I haven't watched season 13 yet but I don't think I'll care for Vania that much so I'm ok with not seeing her again with Cole. I was actually ok with Lloyd and Harumi but then she turned evil and just broke his heart, so after that then I wasn't ok with it. completely agree with Kai and Skylar though, I want more moment with them together and to actually see them with a relationship, to at least see her more involved with the Ninja instead of just when they need a last resort, but ngl Skylar is kinda useless unless she has the others powers but I'd still like to see them together more. I do love Jay and Nya and they are good for each other, but personally my fav is Zane and Pixel just because of they way talk about each other, for me you really see their relationship more with the hand holding and they way Zane talks about Pixel, you can really tell that he truly loves her while Jay and Nya took a slow build up and Nya never really seemed to show her love for Jay like the way Zane and Pixel did for each others. I headcanon Cole as pan but here’s my opinion. I like them together and the writers shouldn’t have made it mainly platonic. It’s not like they’re just friends as we can see a spark there. I mean, just look at the end of Master of the Mountain. The look they’re giving each other is beyond friendship but they didn’t give us any confirmation. I don’t think Cole dates girls and I believe Cole was only mad at Jay in season 3 for insinuating that he was straight. Lloyd and Harumi at eighth place, because while I don’t think their relationship made sense, it’s better than Cole and Nya. I just don’t know why Lloyd fell in love with her? Every relationship this guy has ever seen has gone wrong at some point, be it Skylor turning out evil or deadly s3-4 love triangles. But ig cuz Harumi had those not-like-other-girl vibes. I think it wouldn’t been interesting if there still had some chemistry after Harumi revealed herself, and they had potential, but it wasn’t taken in that direction so like they’re barely a couple. Kai and Skylor to me personally weren’t that convincing. Idk maybe I just don’t understand romance enough but i don’t think the show did the greatest job of telling us why Kai liked her. They’re fine as a couple by the end of s4 but they don’t really meet up beyond that, and I don’t think they’re really dating at least now. They’re just a bit meh. Ray and Maya are a pretty average couple. I like how they were elemental masters together and they forged weapons together. If they had more screen time, I think they’d have a cute dynamic! Ed and Edna are just cute, and eccentric. Yeah. Okay hear me out. Nadakhan and Delara are a pirate power couple. Like it seemed they actually loved each other, and wanted to do everything for each other. Nadakhan said he wanted to give her a feast and all that. And he said she was the only one to understand him. Like they are a loving duo, who could probably kick butt, and do romantic crime. Villain power couples are cool okay! Lloyd and Akita, I’m not a huge fan but from a show perspective I think they were written better than everyone else. They didn’t immediately fall in love, they became friends and knew each other first and they also saved each other a bunch of times. And I think the fact that they kind of end on a kiss before leaving for their respective realms is interesting. I could see them more as friends but as a couple they are written better than the rest on this list so far. Jay and Nya. So I actually don’t like these two that much either because they start out really weirdly and that is just Jay being a simp and no input from Nya. I did actually like s6 though and I liked Nya’s confession to Jay. And as a couple post s6 they are actually really good and cute. Always remember the dancing shorts. These two have the benefit of being a ship as old as the show itself so it could improve. Anyways Pixal and Zane are on top because they meet each other and it’s cute, and they learn from each other and care for each other because they make each other feel special and ALSO when Pixal tells Zane about being Samurai X he’s so chill and supportive and they literally share a heart and their interactions post s11 are god tier they’re really funny. I think you should respect the others. In my opinion, they did show feelings for each other, they did care and they did look at each other with full love. The way they were holding hands at the end and the way Cole was talking to her says everything.

In season 6 the other Ninjago show she kinda said she wanted him to take a opportunity and work with the overlord with her but he declined why is she always picking the bad side bro
I started out liking the Lloyd/Harumi relationship, but then we got to see more of her character. I could see a few episodes in that she was manipulating him, and that doesn’t make a good relationship. Not to mention that she abused him both physically, mentally, and emotionally. I can appreciate the dynamic they had, but given their history, any possible relationship between them is immediately off-putting to me. If Harumi hadn’t betrayed him or manipulated him, then yeah, they’d probably make a really nice couple.

Okay, I know people might hate me for this, but Cole and Nya were one of my favorites. Yes, I know it kicked off on a bad start trying to start a love triangle with Jay and Cole only liking the attention Nya gave him, but I always felt like Jay needed the constant reassurance, was hyperactive and was always insecure when it came to the love triangle. Aside from that, I also felt Cole and Nya got along better even if they were just friends. If the show didn't focus so much on trying to make Jay and Nya endgame, weren't dating, and Cole wasn't Jay's friend and Cole and Nya get to know each other then they can really see if their friendship could turn into something beautiful.
Sure but in season 4 Cole and Jay ended up becoming friends again so I say that was even more beautiful since they both realized that they shouldn’t put a girl over their friendship.
Nya and Jay are the best imo, Prime Empire was my fav season for them 2. Also I didn’t so much like Nya and Cole as a couple, but the story of it all it’s pretty good imo.
Zane is my fav in ninjago. In real life my name is zane and he is the brains and robot of the team and still kind enough to give pixal half his heart. people underestamate those two. they should be number 1.
Call is one of the best ninjas in my opinion and he isn't useless he literally is the only ninja that we know of that can do spinjitzu burst, one of the strongest spinjitzu moves ever, Cole isn't useless he's the strongest

My only issue with Jay x Nya is the "I love you," bs. Nya doesn't have to say it back.. but it's pushy and annoying if Jay continues to say it. I'd feel pressured to say it back.. and maybe that's the point of Nya, that she doesn't let anyone pressure her into things.. but then there seems like this disconnect between them. Either she doesn't show the same level of care or he doesn't have respect for her feelings.. I love Jay x Nya. I agree they are #1.. I just feel that flame dims everytime he says "I love you." I feel like Lloyd and Akita works better than Lloyd and Harumi, Between Lloyd and Akita, they actuality have what someone would expect a relationship between other characters in other series, they didn’t get along too well at first but overtime they got a little bit closer and Akita kissed Lloyd after the season, they actually had significant character relationship growth. Meanwhile for Lloyd and Harumi, Lloyd actually liked Harumi at the beginning of the son of garmadon season while Harumi tried to lead him on and make him believe that she also cared for Lloyd. All Harumi wanted was to bring garmadon back from the distortion world and tried to get garmadon to care for her more than Lloyd. I really want Akita to return in season 16 and maybe have some conflict between her and Harumi.
My ship opinions(least favourite to OTP): Mud(Cole x Nya):-10/10:Cole didn't even like Nya and I felt as if Nya was cheating on Cole,plus,their relationship was really forced.I prefer them as goid friends. Greenflame(Kai x Lloyd):1/10:I personally don't feel comfortable with this ship,I prefer to see them in a brotherly bond. Greenwater(Lloyd x Nya):1/10:Same as Greenflame but the other one is the opposite gender. Garmadon x Misako:3/10:It felt kinda fake since Garmadon lied to Misako about him sending the letters when they were actually from Wu but Lloyd wouldn't exsist if it weren't for them so I'll give them that. Wusako(Wu x Misako):4/10:Gave it some points because it wasn't as toxic as Garmadon x Misako but it kinda feels as if Misako was cheating on Garmadon since she was still married to him in the earlier seasons. Lloydrumi(Lloyd x Harumi):2/10:Toxic and mentally abusive. Lloykita(Lloyd x Akita):5/10:It seems a bit cute but I prefer them as best friends and it probably won't work out since their on two different realms. Conia(Cole x Vania):7/10:It's adorable and I would be kinda happy if it was canon but I like them as best buddies and Cole isn't really interested in Vania(plus I headcanon Cole as gay and ace and Vania as lesbian). Kailor(Kai x Skylor):5/10:Don't really like it much and it's rarely developed. Pixane(Zane x Pixal):10/10:It's cute af and it's a bit more developed than Kailor. Jaya(Jay x Nya):10/10:I love this ship so much.Just wish they hadn't killed of Nya in seabound. I am not a fan of the pairing, and much prefer Lloyd x Therapy, and Harumi x Therapy/Anger Management Classes.
I think that's the reason I love the couple so much is because of the complexity for a "kid's show". I mean, she buttered him up only so the reveal would hurt him more, which was her goal in the first place: to hurt him as much as possible.
I remember in the beginning of season eight I was like "Sweet! Lloyd gets a girlfriend" and at the reveal I was like "Damnit this couple was so perfect 😩"
I started rewatching the show in highschool and I'm glad I did, this season was nearly pitch perfect and Llorumi is part of the reason why 😍

For Lloyd and Harumi people don’t seem to understand that you can enjoy the ship without shipping the people. Harumi was a villain, and I doubt that she actually had feelings for Lloyd. That still doesn’t change their dynamic. She’s a flirtatious person and takes pleasure in stringing him along for the pain. I think people enjoy their dynamic way more than the ship, and that should be respected more. Personally I loved LloydxHarumi even after she was revealed as the Quiet One. Yes, Lloyd and Akita was sweeter and had its chemistry but you could still see Lloyd was still hung up on Harumi that season. And that fact alone means the ship is still alive.
Was really hoping for a Harumi redemption in all honesty. Because you’re right: she and Lloyd have a LOT of parallels. Lloyd released the serpentine to get revenge on the Ninja; Harumi brought back Harmadon to get revenge on the ninja. I think both of them had their regrets in the end too, and recognized their mistakes. Harumi lost her parents and Lloyd lost his father. Harumi idolized the ninja and Lloyd idolized his father. There’s just so much there that could make their relationship deeper and it’s sad to see that the writers killed her off and replaced her rather than working on her character over a couple of seasons

Season 6 did justice do their relationship though and that’s what I loved about it: After Cole revealed that Jay used his wishes to impress Nya, she was mad at him but that’s how many relationships go, in the fact that they had fights but despite this, it still worked out at the end

The Jay, Nya, Cole love triangle was made since Ninjago was gaining more female fans, but you can tell Cole never liked Nya and it was just thrown in there, there was no romantic feelings between Cole and Nya. Wu and Misako just, how would you feel if your mom started dating your uncle when your dad's not around? I haven't watched season 13 yet but I don't think I'll care for Vania that much so I'm ok with not seeing her again with Cole. I was actually ok with Lloyd and Harumi but then she turned evil and just broke his heart, so after that then I wasn't ok with it. completely agree with Kai and Skylar though, I want more moment with them together and to actually see them with a relationship, to at least see her more involved with the Ninja instead of just when they need a last resort, but ngl Skylar is kinda useless unless she has the others powers but I'd still like to see them together more. I do love Jay and Nya and they are good for each other, but personally my fav is Zane and Pixel just because of they way talk about each other, for me you really see their relationship more with the hand holding and they way Zane talks about Pixel, you can really tell that he truly loves her while Jay and Nya took a slow build up and Nya never really seemed to show her love for Jay like the way Zane and Pixel did for each others. Misako and Wu are last because like, idk why they’re a thing. I agree she is married? Why can’t she just make up her mind about who she likes and stick with it!
I only put Garmadon and Misako tenth because I felt like Garmadon’s scenes where he was talking to Misako, we’re more convincing that he actually liked her. Idk I think I’m biased because Garmadon is a lot easier to like as a character than Wu is.
Cole and Nya are nineth because they have no reason to like each other. A machine told Nya she had a crush on Cole and that lasted for a week. And Cole just gives off really not straight vibes. Like his true potential episode where he comes out to his dad as a ninja. I don’t think Cole dates girls and I believe Cole was only mad at Jay in season 3 for insinuating that he was straight.
Lloyd and Harumi at eighth place, because while I don’t think their relationship made sense, it’s better than Cole and Nya. I just don’t know why Lloyd fell in love with her? Every relationship this guy has ever seen has gone wrong at some point, be it Skylor turning out evil or deadly s3-4 love triangles. But ig cuz Harumi had those not-like-other-girl vibes. I think it wouldn’t been interesting if there still had some chemistry after Harumi revealed herself, and they had potential, but it wasn’t taken in that direction so like they’re barely a couple.
Kai and Skylor to me personally weren’t that convincing. Idk maybe I just don’t understand romance enough but i don’t think the show did the greatest job of telling us why Kai liked her. They’re fine as a couple by the end of s4 but they don’t really meet up beyond that, and I don’t think they’re really dating at least now. They’re just a bit meh.
Ray and Maya are a pretty average couple. I like how they were elemental masters together and they forged weapons together. If they had more screen time, I think they’d have a cute dynamic!
Ed and Edna are just cute, and eccentric. Yeah.
Okay hear me out. Nadakhan and Delara are a pirate power couple. Like it seemed they actually loved each other, and wanted to do everything for each other. Nadakhan said he wanted to give her a feast and all that. And he said she was the only one to understand him. Like they are a loving duo, who could probably kick butt, and do romantic crime. Villain power couples are cool okay!
Lloyd and Akita, I’m not a huge fan but from a show perspective I think they were written better than everyone else. They didn’t immediately fall in love, they became friends and knew each other first and they also saved each other a bunch of times. And I think the fact that they kind of end on a kiss before leaving for their respective realms is interesting. I could see them more as friends but as a couple they are written better than the rest on this list so far.
Jay and Nya. So I actually don’t like these two that much either because they start out really weirdly and that is just Jay being a simp and no input from Nya. I did actually like s6 though and I liked Nya’s confession to Jay. And as a couple post s6 they are actually really good and cute. Always remember the dancing shorts. These two have the benefit of being a ship as old as the show itself so it could improve.
Anyways Pixal and Zane are on top because they meet each other and it’s cute, and they learn from each other and care for each other because they make each other feel special and ALSO when Pixal tells Zane about being Samurai X he’s so chill and supportive and they literally share a heart and their interactions post s11 are god tier they’re really funny.

In season 6 the other Ninjago show she kinda said she wanted him to take a opportunity and work with the overlord with her but he declined why is she always picking the bad side bro
I started out liking the Lloyd/Harumi relationship, but then we got to see more of her character. I could see a few episodes in that she was manipulating him, and that doesn’t make a good relationship. Not to mention that she abused him both physically, mentally, and emotionally. I can appreciate the dynamic they had, but given their history, any possible relationship between them is immediately off-putting to me. If Harumi hadn’t betrayed him or manipulated him, then yeah, they’d probably make a really nice couple.

Okay, I know people might hate me for this, but Cole and Nya were one of my favorites. Yes, I know it kicked off on a bad start trying to start a love triangle with Jay and Cole only liking the attention Nya gave him, but I always felt like Jay needed the constant reassurance, was hyperactive and was always insecure when it came to the love triangle. Aside from that, I also felt Cole and Nya got along better even if they were just friends. If the show didn't focus so much on trying to make Jay and Nya endgame, weren't dating, and Cole wasn't Jay's friend and Cole and Nya get to know each other then they can really see if their friendship could turn into something beautiful.

My only issue with Jay x Nya is the "I love you," bs. Nya doesn't have to say it back.. but it's pushy and annoying if Jay continues to say it. I'd feel pressured to say it back.. and maybe that's the point of Nya, that she doesn't let anyone pressure her into things.. but then there seems like this disconnect between them. Either she doesn't show the same level of care or he doesn't have respect for her feelings.. I love Jay x Nya. I agree they are #1.. I just feel that flame dims everytime he says "I love you." Akita: who she is and what i think about her and why I think she is better for Lloyd.
Akita: she was also vengeful but because of what vex did she also had every right act that way and only threatened to kill Lloyd because she thought that Lloyd was defending an evil dictator she only deceived Lloyd because she had been alone for decades and couldn't trust anyone anymore and she thought that Lloyd couldn't be trusted. The (and my) reason that she's better for Lloyd is because unlike Harumi who had just used him and never loved him and who was never open about her feelings akita was more kind and mature and was more open with her feelings and had actual feelings for Lloyd plus unlike harumi who was younger than the ninja and who was immature and who was never faithful to Lloyd akita was close to to the ninjas ages and older than Lloyd and was more mature than Harumi and was alwyas Loyal to Lloyd and sticking with him through the good times and the bad times no matter what and was always their for him plus the kiss that akita gave him was not being rushed or anything but it was more gentle and sweet and akita was and still is more kind an friendly person and much more beautiful than harumi she's More: kind, caring, mature, loyal and much more beautiful than Harumi is inside and out.
Also akita gave lloyd a kiss on the cheek not just to tell him goodbye but also to thank him and tell him she likes him with that flirty smile thingie 😊
So thi is why I think that Lloyd should Be with akita instead plus they have a lot more in common than ever.
Plus also Its possible for akita comeback because of the travelers tree berries and travelers tree leaves and plus the other scroll of forbidden spinjitzu is still active lloyd can blast himself with it so he can visit the never realm whenever he wants too.
Also Tommy confirmed that time grows faster in the never realm and that Formlings age differently than humans along with it so that means Akita will not be dead when we all see her again.
So this is why I think That Lloyd and Akita is most likely to happen

I loved LloRumi. Then she was reveald to be the quiet one, and my heart broke
I feel like Lloyd and Akita works better than Lloyd and Harumi, Between Lloyd and Akita, they actuality have what someone would expect a relationship between other characters in other series, they didn’t get along too well at first but overtime they got a little bit closer and Akita kissed Lloyd after the season, they actually had significant character relationship growth. Meanwhile for Lloyd and Harumi, Lloyd actually liked Harumi at the beginning of the son of garmadon season while Harumi tried to lead him on and make him believe that she also cared for Lloyd. All Harumi wanted was to bring garmadon back from the distortion world and tried to get garmadon to care for her more than Lloyd. I really want Akita to return in season 16 and maybe have some conflict between her and Harumi.

Greenwater(Lloyd x Nya):1/10:Same as Greenflame but the other one is the opposite gender.
Garmadon x Misako:3/10:It felt kinda fake since Garmadon lied to Misako about him sending the letters when they were actually from Wu but Lloyd wouldn't exsist if it weren't for them so I'll give them that.
Wusako(Wu x Misako):4/10:Gave it some points because it wasn't as toxic as Garmadon x Misako but it kinda feels as if Misako was cheating on Garmadon since she was still married to him in the earlier seasons.

Lloykita(Lloyd x Akita):5/10:It seems a bit cute but I prefer them as best friends and it probably won't work out since their on two different realms.
