Hey guys, I just wanted to thank you all for the massive outpouring of support and love from the community after expressing my feelings about the channel and DCS in my last video titled "I'm Thinking of Quitting TH-cam & DCS World" that you can find here: th-cam.com/video/twrOm72mZOw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=Pht8Xl7mi4Oihbdh All of your well wishes and comments as well as messages from fellow DCS Content creators really helped my feel better about the whole thing and I can't thank you guys enough... This is the mission that restored my faith in DCS and the community and the F-4E is definitely my favorite DCS module by a long shot.
Hey man. I know I’ve never been in your position and probably never will be in it. But maybe let TH-cam become a side thing. Fly when you want to. Make a video here and there if you need a break. But all in all glad to see you back! Also, great video!
@@chriscarroll641either crawl back to the Hoggit trolls or seek help bro, clearly you don’t even watch the last video he put up or you would’ve gotten a different impression.
Wonderful job. I love the story at the beginning. It doesn’t feel like your classic “I need a story so I have an excuse to fly fighter planes” it feels like you made the story first and then decided it needed a mission. Feels much more natural and gets you really invested.
This was a fun mission! Even though I died after some time I still had fun doing some controlling at the end. Thanks for hosting for the all the guys on these Sundays Spud!
This video is amazing! It's so inspiring to see how awesome feedback from the community and your special mission have motivated you to keep going. Your journey and passion are truly remarkable. Keep soaring! 🌟✈💪We are always there for you!
Thanks for a great viewing experience, I love the long mission videos and the F4E is a beautiful aircraft. It's great to have you back, I take a month break from DCS every summer (I only play DCS) I highly recommend it.
Man, Spud. I just binge watch these flights. The're awesome. You have got to stay. I bought a HOTAS and will build my system piece by piece. I've already learned a lot from you.
THANK YOU SOOO much for contuing on, of course I am gald that you not giving up making content in general, that being said I was going to die if the Operation Burning Sands didn't continue ha ha.
Great You continue these informative videos. Special thanks to You for TrackIR setup video - I followed Your introductions and my device works better than ever.
so glad you are not leaving... I am jut starting out and your videos have been super helpful getting me off the ground.... I am still in the "learning all the controls" stage but it would be very hard without you there holding my hand like the mentally slow person I am.
Hey Spud!, glad to see you're still around. Your new journey is a very time consuming endeavor. It really doesn't take a very astute individual to see that you're new endeavor is going to consume a large portion of your time. Keeping with that and continuing is going to give you no term to decompress. Or have some Spud time. As always, I wish you well on your journey. With all the blessings the Lord may bestow upon you and yours. God bless my friend 🕊️❤️❤️
Enjoyed the video and the story line. Always adlib to a fictional story myself as I run a mission. I don't have the F4 cause I am still learning my F/A-18.
I have about 100h in dcs phantom, but it is the first time I see someone using squawk and using the iff panel in dcs MP mission. Can someone explain me briefly how it worked here? Are these squawk codes really required here? Is the list defined by human 'commander' and without entering it, Spud would be recognized by other coalition jets as enemy? Even the AI ones?
There is a third party application used by controllers called LOTATC. SRS can actually provide IFF codes to LOTATC, and the squawk codes show up - including IDENT for the controller on that application.
I rally wish I was able to play big missions like this with other people, but I just don't have the time to devote to learning the aircraft this in depth or just to actually fly the mission.
I wish I had a better PC and proper flight stick to truly enjoy this game as it's meant to be :(. I live through these DCS videos to see what DCS can be enjoyed like. I am limited to n64 graphics and a hotas that can't keep my plane straight.
If you want, consider supporting with being a controller. It doesn’t have quite the glamour of flying the jets, but you still get to be part of the action :)
How does someone set something like this up? I’m rather new to DCS and I’d love to fly missions like this, but I don’t know how to set up any missions on my own.

I'm so stoked you stuck around, I throw your videos up while I'm studying. The calming sounds of the RWR keep me focused like Mozart.
Love these long form videos. Also whoever does your liveries needs to enter some kind of competition, those are insane
Hey man its a mix of people but I do most of them in this video!
@@SpudspikeThey look incredible! Especially the tail art. Great job.

@@Max34-l3p hey man! That’s exactly correct and I’m super glad you enjoyed it! Keep in mind this is just one small part of the larger story!
U know its a good day when Spud posts a 3hr F-4E video 👌👌

Hey great video , I feel stupid but how do you alt tab and bring up all your programs in mini window in middle of screen that’s too cool
You should have maps when talking about certain areas. With the arrows and tactics on map
the externals are usually empty when totalizer goes below 11000
DCS Toxicity is getting really high recently. I totally understand where you're coming from

Any penalty for landing without reserve fuel?
Why can't you watch tv in Afghanistan?
Telly ban ⛳
LOL!!
Is this mission downloadable somewhere?
Damn that's a long video
1:46:54 Yup...
This could be edited to about 15 mins . I'm a simmer .
"The graveyard of empires" - Even Genghis Khan could not conqueror Afghanistan.
You quitting or not means nothing. Your space will be filled out by someone more awesome than you anyway. Keep up the good work
Sorry but the controller in this mission is terrible and annoying to listen to
