Nice, I just bought an Asus Oled there was one with ryzen and other with intel, I bought the Intel it was cheaper somehow, but its nice to see IRIS Xe doesnt suck.

It is. I think their being held back by inferior drivers. AMD just has more experience in gaming.
Pretty sure the 6600u wont be a massive jump igpu wise because it has half the CU cores of the 6800u, but it's still gonna be a pretty big gain

@@WizardOfClips exactly, it is estimated that the ryzen 5 6600u will be only a little more powerful than the ryzen 5 5500u 40%, the real jump is from the ryzen 7 6800u that has twice the number of cores and on top of that much more frequency, it is practically twice the performance of the 6600u, so unlike the previous generations, it is highly recommended to go to the ryzen 7 due to the great difference in gpu, at the level of a laptop 1050ti just a little below the gtx 1650 max q gddr6

in games like assasins creed odyssey and apex the ryzen was heavily slowed down by not having enough ram, even more so than the i5. amd APUs are impacted more by slower ram or lack of ram than intel iGPUs because they rel a lot of them

Same can really be said ab amd if not more important bc amd is very ram dependent for fps with higher improvements then intel dealing with ram. With amd ram speed and amount matters a bit more usually

this is apu based on vega architecture from 4 years ago.(when intel UHD was released). and it still beats the IRIS Xe. A more reasonable comparison would be IRIS Xe vs RDNA2( found in 6000 series)
But then amd simple clean the floor with intel looool.
We want to see comparisons of actual products we want to buy. As I m looking in the market months after the video, this specific comparison is as reasonable as it gets as there are laptop models with only difference one has 5500u, other has 1135g7.

I have 2 ThinkPad laptop.
X13 G1 with Ryzen 7 4750U Vega 7 (2020)
T14 G3 with i7 1260P Iris Xe (2022)
I used X13 since mid 2020 and my company just give me T14 G3 last month.
I thought Iris Xe supposed to beat Vega 7, but intel heavily struggled with graphic for just my day-to-day use.
Now I am buying new Tiny ThinkCenter for my work with a decent iGPU. Only option i got is either Ryzen 5 5650GE (Vega 7) or i5 12400T (UHD 730). Looks like old AMD APU will serve me better with half the price tag of Intel variant.

I'll definitely pick red because of higher core count and threads, and also because it has longer battery life than blue.
Edit: I forgot to add that amd laptops are cheaper than intel. So yeah, it's a no brainer to go for amd.

I am curious about gaming power of future Intel Arc GPUs in laptops, but I don't think it will be revolution for Intel, it looks like AMD is better choice now for notebook. If someone said that to me 10 or 15 years ago, I would probably call an ambulance for him. 🙂

Ryzen 7 wins this one. If you are still unsure ask chat gpt trust me it's so reliable. I was unsure weather to get an laptop with a Ryzen 5 5500u 16GB of ram or i7 1165g7 16 GB of ram, I was really stressed because my parents gave me 1 day to choose but chat gpt saved my life
