As a lifelong space fanatic, I absolutely love this! As silly as this short video may be, it evokes memories rooted deep in my childhood. I must've been only one or two years old when I first heard Patrick Stewart narrate a video about the planets that was put to Isao Tomita's electronic rendition of Gustav Holst's "The Planets". To this day (almost 30 years later!), it is still my favorite educational film about the planets of our Solar System. Even when listening to Tomita's music or even Holst's original orchestral suite on their own, it's hard not to hear Patrick's Stewart's narration, especially during 'Mars: The Bringer of War' when he mentions the planet by name. Me and my friends sometimes get a good kick out of it. 😄 While I never owned the Nine Worlds computer program, I have seen other videos on TH-cam that showcase it, and it is actually based on the aforementioned movie! Patrick Stewart really was the perfect actor to narrate such a film (as well as the corresponding software), not just because of his role in Star Trek as Captain Picard at the time, but also simply because of the deep richness of his voice. Even though this video was only 15 seconds long, the memories and the nostalgia really kicked in for me. Nevertheless, it really made my day and also gave me a good reason to laugh and be happy! For that I thank you, kind sir! 😊
