😁 No apples were harmed in the making of this video. I need to order some pears because you have inspired me to finally get my canner out of the box and actually do this! (It may or may not have been sitting in my closet for the past 4 years 😳) I love your glasses, btw! You look beautiful. Thank you so much for being an excellent teacher! Have a blessed day everyone. 🙏🤗
I put pears on my new order (the day after order closing) when I saw your Azure haul. I cannot wait to get my pears! Until then, a bushel of apples from a local orchard, the last of my jalapeños, restock of my canned beans from the dry beans from Azure and a couple of runs to my CSA to finish up the season! Then I’ll be chomping at the bit for my pears!
Would love to see a dump cake and mocktail recipes using the canned frozen berries you made a short while ago. I love all the inspiration I get from you!
You are sweet! Here’s the dump cake. It’s the same with home jarred fruit. Sometimes I’ll strain a little liquid off if the jar has a ton in it. th-cam.com/video/p3AHh-vZpjY/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LncSALF_D75EfgcV
I have 2 videos requests for you. 1) could you please do a video on how you make your homemade dog food? 2) could you also do a video on your Luma kitchen composter? Thanks and love your videos!

I seriously forget what we have filmed and I search that way all the time 😂
🤣🤣It's ok, I know him. I LOL'd. I love these videos. You are such a helpful person. You guys do the most fun projects! I am definitely going to be adding these to my list! How long does the vinegar sit til you strain it? I missed that
About 10 days. It will start to bubble and once that dies off you can strain. When it’s cold it can take longer as well like 14 days. Mine is slow this time of year.
I tried to find the electric canner you showed. Can you tell me name again? Also do you prefer electric or stovetop pressure canner? Love your videos! I feel right at home and follow you perfectly!LOL
What do you use all that sauce for? I did apple sauce in the past and thought I’d never get through all of it. My family didn’t like to just eat it as is. I thought maybe you cook with it. I also have like 6 half gallons of apple cider vinegar in the fridge. Why did I make so much?! What do you use it for other than salad dressing?
Ha ha! I am with you on the vinegar. I use it for cleaning, cooking, anything that calls for vinegar. Have you seen our flavored vinegars? Great for gifts! We eat the pear sauce but I do also add it to sweet breads instead of oil. I throw it in smoothies, ice cream topping.
So sad. I’m ahead of you. 😩. I did my pears a few days ago. I haven’t thrown out my scraps yet, BUT, they’ve been sitting in a tub for 3 days. Safe to make the vinegar? Not to consume but only to clean with. Safe??
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa it is crazy that is why I make or am learning to make as much as I can at home. I'm retired and on a fixed income so I enjoy saving as much as I can. And by making what I can at home it allows me to take small vacations.
I have that same peeler, had it over 20 years love it came with a knife too.❤
Apples.. no pears… pears…apples, no pears! I TOTALLY RELATE! 😂
I love Rana knives. I’m also making apple scrap vinegar. Today I will be straining off the scraps
Hilarious! Thanks for all the great ideas as well as this stitch in my side now. 😂

Get that thing out! Once you do you will go crazy 🤪
I am so glad you don’t edit out all the flubbers. Makes me feel like I’m a friend in your kitchen learning something.
I’m so glad and you are!!!

What kind of pears did you use? Ironically I am doing my pears this morning so this video was perfect timing.
Bartlett pears.
I tried to find the electric canner you showed. Can you tell me name again? Also do you prefer electric or stovetop pressure canner? Love your videos! I feel right at home and follow you perfectly!LOL
amzn.to/3CpmEhg it’s this one but the Carey is the same if that is a better price. I love it so far.

I would for sure try it!
Have you thought about making pear sugar like you did the apples?
I have! It would totally work we just love the Apple. Let me know if you try it.
Slippery when wet😂
How do you get the mother separated from the pear scraps?
It typically won’t have much of a mother formed yet. I leave some sediment and it will form after it is strained .
@@LittleHillHomesteadGa thanks for answering my question
Always here if you need me
Allie that is $354.56 for what you made for about $1.00
Crazy isn’t it!
