    Brilliant to see footage of Brett playing for his club. Great guy and great clubman.
    Those fella's down on the fence behind the keeper enjoying the thought of facing Brett. Probably some good cricketers from the past enjoying that feeling of being amongst the action once again. If only we could play forever.
    Good heat.

    Everyone talks about the batsmen, what about the keeper? He has to take anything the batsmen miss, which is nearly every ball. It's a big step up from keeping to guy who bowls 130 to a guy who, in his prime, could bowl over 160.

    • @flamingfrancis
      @flamingfrancis 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brett is playing with the Mosman CC in a limited overs fixture against Bankstown. Both are teams from their respective districts / suburbs playing in the Sydney first grade competition. The Mosman Whales (note Club logo above) home ground is named the Allan Border Oval after AB who played for the Club in his early career. His brother John also played and they also played baseball for Mosman Baseball Club. Brett was recruited by Mosman after he and brother Shane played from their junior days with the Oak Flats Rats CC in the South Coast competition.
      The Bankstown Club are also known for some famous products, principally the Waugh family.

    Dude its not even close. It used to be, when the international players and state players used to play, but not anymore. In its current state county is "almost" comparable to our state system, on quality of players. And this is being reflected in the results of the Australian team. The fact our best players dont even play in these systems weakens them considerably, and as a result its becoming harder for these players to make the step up to the national team. just ask Quiney or Hughes
