- We do 2 very different little adventures, one to some high moorland, looking for a red listed rarity, the other being some urban birding, looking for a controversial exotic import.
Excellent share
Lovely video as always. We dont get many Ring Necked Parakeets over this neck of the woods (somerset) Will be nice when they eventually colonise this way.
Nice absolutely not they are vermin. They are pests that steal nests from smaller birds and dominate garden feeders. I chase the vermin away when I can. Nuthatches, Treecreepers, Great Spotted Woodpeckers have disappeared from where I live in Kent and this vermin are everywhere. They make an awful noise too screeching madly as a flock flies overhead. Lets be honest they should not be here.
The Canada Geese were still there yesterday amongst the Black Grouse, alongside Mallard, Red Grouse, Wheatear and at least 3 Ring Ouzels.
We have had Paraqueets in SE London for a longtime now some years you get more and others you get less they can wreck your seed feeders and are very noisy, I used to get Great Spotted Woodies in garden on peanuts but now I am lucky if I see one a year!! Wether it's down to parrots I can't say, nice videos ❤😅 cheers 🍻
Parakeets take Woodpeckers nest holes in trees.
And still the list grows! Well done. Cracking wheatear and the willow warbler singing away, beautiful. Great footage from the car of the grouse too!
This was brilliant, I absolutely loved this video and will be checking out more of your content. I’ve been looking for more good bird content, having just uploaded a bird video yesterday myself I can say that it’s a hard niche to find the community for right away, so I’m happy to have found your channel. If you ever want to connect, we can send you our email!
Chorlton watrr park comes up as 'the most dangerous plc 2fish in Britain'. I used 2fish it. Check my parakeet upload out, theyre regular here now,m straight out of Heaton park on2 my feeders. Check my slo-mo hand feeding a robin I tamed too. I got Warblers here as well ✌️
Fantastic views you had of the black grouse, lovely put together video thanks for posting.
Great approach to invasives by the UK as usual: let them get established so they can't be removed *then* see if they are a problem like they are everywhere else 🙌🤦♂️
Nice video! Seems like parrots have taken over major cities all over the world! Pretty cool find!
Ring necks can be tought to talk i had 2 that have passed into the clouds now.
We’ve got plenty of those parrots nesting in the bigger cities in the Netherlands
And again a bird is taken out of it's native habitat and transport to a different one. They thrive and replace native birds. The UK have a habit doing that: Rabbits, foxes. But that goes further than that: The Panama Canal made that clear. And don't talk about plants.... that is another story.
