3D Printing a capacitor Bank for the Diy Electric surfboard.

Hi i am 3d printing a capacitor bank for my diy electric surfboard. I designed the cap bank using onshape and then printed the first draft using my creality ender 3 v3 ke 3d printer. If you are into Rc models or have an Esc (electronic speed controller) then it is a good idea to add a capacitor bank to help with ripple current/spikes in the electic system. here i am test printing to see if i need to make any changes to the print before 3d printing the final version.

Hi mate the cap-bank caps can have a higher voltage than the esc's caps, but they must have the same Uf rating numbers as the esc's caps,

Whats the point of these? I get it if you have cureent in rush, it takes some draw of the batteries for a very short moment. But if you have lipo at 12S, isnt that like 45 amps per cell? Thus 500 ish apms peak. Cant you adjust the voltage to the escs from the remot reciever so the escs are stopping at say peak 145A?

I had the same thought but as far as I can tell there is no way to limit the amp draw it's more to do with the motor kv it's important to check the max amp of the motor some can go higher than mine but I can also play with different props to bring the amps down if needed.

Usually you can modify the voltage, on the controller. Don't you see any settings on the Flipsky remote to reduce the top throttle voltage or similar going back to the ESC?

Hi Mate, I started using a cap bank after loosing an esc or two and the expense, the capacitor on the esc were struggling and failing but in no small part due to fake cells off ebay in the packs, since installing a cap-bank the caps on the esc's stay cool and still doing well, it is something done with RC boats as a belt and braces approach but I need it :)
