I loved this updated video for Uranus! It’s such an underrated planet imo
Cause I keep hiding it with my pants. (had to)
nobody likes Uranus, how rude! :p
@Kalvin Thomas it isn't gassy for nothing
@Brisni SpirsTrue. Many people are missing out and could use some uranus appreciation
I'm a mature adult…I'm a mature adult…I'm a mature adult…
Ok

Uranus has always been my favourite planet. It's always the objects in space we know the least about that intrigue me most.
Them: The Bizarre Characteristics of Uranus
Me: It's all the hair, isn't it? 😔
Hair? Thats cute, it looks like someone shoved a wig up my rear, but maybe i've said to much
You can't tell me you made that title without chuckling at least a little bit.
The person who named this particular planet must've known ahead of time about the endless jokes that could be made of it. What a legend. Laughing from beyond when we speak of how massive and gassy it is.
Uranus was actually the second choice. Its discoverer, Sir William Herschel, wanted to call it George's Star after his patron King George III. A planet called George might have been just as strange 😅
@@alexritchie4586 crisis avoided. A planet named George would be so tacky we'd have to rename the other planets things like Tim and Richard.
@@alexritchie4586 would have been better honestly
Due to all of the childish jokes about the name, the International Society of Planets has voted on a new name. They decided to name it "Urectum".
Nice
But the real name ouranos ,means the sky
thanks Dr Farnsworth
Now that's a name I can get behind
@@TheGrimmRiffer_667 You're welcome, Dustcakes. :)
One day. One day I wont laugh at "The Bizarre Characteristics of Uranus"
Maybe some day.
But not today
Hope
That's just the day when I'll meet my future girlfriend - the day that won't happen
Your name fits the video
Here before the bad jokes.
The narrator already made the joke.
Lol
Smt
Came for the jokes. Staying for the rest of the video.
2620 can't come soon enough...
@@nowthatsjustducky why 2620? :v
I guess it's a good thing Astrum is teaching us about Uranus!
"The bizarre characteristics of uranus" I'm almost 30 and still laught my butt off. Yes I'm incredibly immature and I love it.
I'm 40 and just laughed myanus off ;) Immaturity never goes out of style.
I am 46 and still laugh myanus off as well! We keep our mentality healthy by acting immature from time to time
It's not immature to have humor 😁
Oh no, I didn't know there was a time limit to laughing your ass off xD
32 here and still laughing :D
I'd love to see further missions to Uranus and Neptune in my lifetime. It's a crime that they've both only ever been visited by Voyager 2
A crime? Really???
@@davecarsley8773 yup. Criminal. Arrests must me made
it’s been visited a lot more than that 😏
@@scurus11scurus 😩
Probing Uranus wouldn't be a crime.
I hope that i never get too old to giggle at a title like this.
Hasn’t happened yet for me. (70 next year).
@@dr.OgataSerizawa same, 653 here (yes we age differently here on Mars)
Idk if theres anything new enough yet to be worth doing it but I hope neptune gets an updated entry like the other 7! Love the channel so much, keep it up!
“Really Shepard?”
“Probing Uranus” EDI mass effect 2
:')
That's why A.I is banned by the council
Your videos are so good! I've never been more interested in the solar system than I am now because of them.
If you think about it, it is amazing how many people have been watching the video about Uranus :-)
When you're so early that no one has made THOSE jokes yet
Lmao
If Futurama is correct by the year 3000 the planet gets it's name changed to Urectum to stop all that nonsense.
Do you have Klingons there? Do I need to probe Uranus
The narrator already made the joke.
@@apocalypse487 The punchline was when Narrator said, " . . . in the way it rotates and orbits." I had to laugh at this moment.
Thanks for making a very informative video about myanus 😊
Can you imagine all the probes that will orbiting Uranus in the future?
Now that the government has admitted to extraterrestrial beings are real lmai
People in restrooms will be fearing for their privacy!

I laughed so hard for the entire first half of the video. It makes sense that Uranus should be a gaseous giant.
He literally said that Uranus releases clouds of methane. These jokes write themselves..
Uranus is full of gas !😂🤣
They say it supposedly smells like farts
@@AngstG 🐖💨🤭
Is methane able to support life?

Thank you!
I love literally everything you post on youtube and I seriously hope that you never stop! I recommend your channel to anyone I talk to about space!
"Uranus is the coldest planet"
I am watching the video on my porch in winter and doubt that.
Yes it is colder than neptune

Clicked the video, head straight to comments...... Y'all didn't disappoint.
Think about this. Voyager 2 flew by 35 years ago but just recently "left" the solar system. While I understand that it's flight path isn't direct it still helps one comprehend the distance traveled.
Well that’s a horrible ass joke
But what about Uranus?
@@martianmurray hahaha.
VOyager 2 passed near Uranus lol
It's still in our solar system, it's right on the edge of the helio pause which extend for more then 3 light years. It won't leave the solar system for over 13k years.
Thank you for the video I've been itching to learn about Uranus.
My god, Uranus is really taking a pounding in this comments section. Everybody's taking turns on Uranus.
You win!
I thought I was above Uranus jokes but this got me xD
Personal thank you for pronouncing it both ways, always nice to listen to a man of culture 👏
