Lot of great points in this video. I own a multi-unit senior homecare franchise in California and it’s no joke. In this business, if you want to be an owner/operator you must enjoy knocking on doors to find referral partners, have a thick skin, and have some kind of medical/caregiving experience. If your plan is to be an absentee owner, you will need a lot of operating capital to pay for experienced marketing rep, office manager/scheduler, and a recruiter. Without those 3 key personnel, that business will tank in six months. Also, if possible buy an existing franchise (with good book of business) versus starting from scratch. Trust me, you have a better chance of surviving.

Thanks for the comment! CA one of the tougher states for regs and licensing also.

I thought most of them offered marketing and recruiting assistance. Additional, I thought there was a scheduling system. Is that not an option?

@@feliciaharveyfh Scheduling systems yes, in most cases. Levels of marketing and recruiting "assistance" varies widely across each franchise. This is why it is imperative to align the operators skills and weakness with the appropriate brand, as they all have operational nuances that can be detrimental or advantageous. This is also the reason a franchise will have one operator at 20 million and another that closes their doors. If you need help choosing give us a call. www.franchise.city/our-services

got this saved to watch later- in case it's not mentioned....as I work in this industry- Regulations can, and will kill you. Make sure you have someone on board from day one that deals specifically to what regulations and laws apply to you. Also...before you invest...and open one up...Please, PLEASE get some experience in this field..at least two years (in my opinion) as a home care aid, LPN, case manager...this is not a franchise where you can just sit back and let the income roll in. Well, maybe you can if your lucky but...anyway..thanks for doing a video on this
