Gold Award winning performance by Chaoju actor Lin Chufa. Recorded during a national competition in 2002.
In this short excerpt taken from the classic tale of "The Butterfly Lovers" (梁山伯与祝英台), he plays the role of Liang Shanbo (梁山伯), who is on his way to meet his lover Zhu Yingtai (祝英台). As he retraces the path he once made with Zhu Yingtai, who was then disguised as a male, he recalls the details of their conversation and his lack of sensitivity in deciphering the riddles she used to tease him.
