@@BraidensWorldProductions Except the purpose of Jigsaw's tests was that they could be survived if the person had the willpower to push through the test to the goal, which Jigsaw ALWAYS made sure was still possible even if the test itself made it look impossible, it was the students that threw that out and went Judge, Jury and Executioner.

@@BraidensWorldProductions That's still WINNABLE remember that there were traps that even when you passed the trap's test you STILL were killed, THOSE were the ones that Amanda and his other students made where they became the Judge, the Jury and the Executioner, hell the first movie has such a trap in it, and you wouldn't even know it was there because it was a blink, and you'll miss it type deal where Amenda put the key to the chains in the bathtub, the same key that's shown to be going down the drain when its emptied meaning both Gordon and Adam were doomed to die if Gordon hadn't hacksawed his foot off.

The best part was MBH kept asking for money lol. It was inventive.

really liked this one, finding out it was their first horror game made me smile. i love when devs go in a weird direction with their early projects. playing it safe is of course a good practice especially starting out, but when they feel confident in a bizarre idea and commit to it i'm always really stoked to see what else they end up doing.

The sense of helplessness is conveyed quite well here. It's all up to a wheel which itself is basically rigged considering whoever has you trapped here is the one handing out prizes.
What's even worse is you have no idea what the colors mean on the wheel. Total mystery. Or just a way for whoever gives the prizes to rig the wheel.

What you heard as "propane" and nothing happened, it said "companion." And then the blood dripped, and they forced the chair through him which is why he screamed and an arm came down with the chair.
Edit: lots of people are sharing or arguing for things they've heard. I'll agree that it is quite difficult to hear so it's impossible for me to be 100% certain that I am right (tho I still believe I am, given the context and the things I *am* certain of, which I am about to expand upon). Rewatching/listening multiple times, (and getting feedback from other people in my household,) this is what I'm sure of:
It is a multiple syllable word, with the stress on the second syllable. It could be either a two-syllable word with a diphthong as the second syllable, or a three syllable word with a very unstressed third syllable (think like how "horror" is almost pronounced like "whore" just with a drawn out R). This kind of thing (last syllable of a word becoming under-pronounced in regular speech) is common in words ending in -ion, like onion, or companion. While the potential third syllable is barely present, I think it's the more viable option just because the stress pattern and relative tone of each syllable would be extremely improbable for a two-syllable English word (sounds almost unnaturally cut off, as if it were a longer word turned into a shorter one by trimming off the end).
It starts with a hard consonant, like a K (or c) or P (as opposed to a soft consonant like H or R).
(One of) the consonant(s) dividing the first and second syllable is an unvoiced consonant, (most likely a P since that's by far the most commonly heard (including Manly hearing it in proPane)).
Last syllable ends with N (if it's a three-syllable word then possibly *both* the second and third syllables end with N like compaNioN).
The vowel sounds are 1. unclear, could be any of /ɒ/, /oʊ/, /ʌ/, or /ə/. 2. /æ/, or /eɪ/ if it's a two syllable word. 3. /ə/ (if present at all)

This reminded about one of Japan’s earliest live stream. About a man who had to win prizes and rely on only that to survive only until the amount of winnings reached a certain amount. Penguinz0 talked about it, it’s a very cruel story
Yeah I remember watching that video. Dude got so screwed up that he couldn’t function as a social human being, only for them to collapse his room at the end to show him stark naked in front of a live studio audience. Man is gonna spend what’s left of his life coping with the trauma

I was typing this and backed out of it because the colors didn't seem to matter anymore. So glad this resonated with someone else though. They started cheating and withholding his winnings so I was surprised he came back twice.
I like to imagine this was inspired by the Eric Andre sketch, where he made Sinbad spin a prize wheel for half an hour.

This game feels exactly like a weird nightmare I’d have, it has that dream-like quality to it where there is /some/ amount of plot and logic, but is otherwise pretty random. The game creators did a good job of capturing that surreal, uneasy nightmare vibe.

honestly reminds me of the whole Nasubi livestream. had to enter sweepstakes for anything and usually took forever to get what he wanted or maybe it’s just something evil from the producers

This reminds me of that one Japanese game show where the man had to be naked in front of a live camera and only survive throught the prizes he gets from the hundreds of raffles he signs in to. Its really quite a terrifying situation to be in even more so for the fact throughout that year, he was willing to do it.

The protagonists reactions to the majority of the things are actually pretty cute

This reminds me of a very early online TV show from Japan called "A Life of Prizes." A young comedian was placed in a room and given a bunch of magazines and envelopes, then told he would have to survive only on the prizes he earned from the write-in contests in the magazines. He won a bag of rice early on, but didn't have anything to cook it in. Maybe this is based on that?
That jumpscare was beautiful. I didn't scream that loud in a long time, I couldn't help but laugh afterwards.
I'd say it should be a 2-parter game, the wheel part just grants us a randomized set of tools, the second part where we have to use those to escape a dungeon. I imagine this to be some sick psychopath saw game where the wheel of fortune decides our resources and then we must utilize those resources to maximum efficiency to survive. Each color would represent some class of item: Medicine/weapon/tool/lockpick/less enemies etc.

I was thinking about the jumpscare and how it worked a little better than some I've seen, even in other games Manly has played. Like, the screen went kind of loud and it went 'Boo!' but the anticipation for it was well setup. You keep wondering if/when something spooky is going to fall through the hole cos it's left up to random chance. Then an unexplained object falls through and just sits there and we have no choice but to interact with it. It builds up a level of dread before interacting with the object and imo that's the best way to do a junpscare. Let the audience know it's coming but be stuck with the helplessness that's there's nothing they can do other than experience the scare. Then it feels built to rather than just an out of nowhere startle
That jumpscare with the black face actually got me i was so mad lol what an interesting concept for a horror game tho, definitely dont see many like it.

For some reason, I felt as if the MC was serving out a death sentence and that's how they execute people in this setting.
The mumbling voice was saying "Congratulations, You've won"
The concept is quite interesting. Could be a puzzle game where you have to find a way to escape. For example once you get the chalk it's a good idea to record all the outcomes of the spin to try to figure out some pattern. Maybe a secret code. Also once you fix the clock, you can time how long it takes for each item to drop and calculate how deep the pit is.
Also I was wondering if he could've catched the light bulb before it broke and use it to fix the lamp.
inb4 the voice was also spinning a wheel out of laziness and whatever their wheel landed on was your "prize". it would explain why youd land on the same color multiple times but got different "prizes" 😂

This game has so much potential. So many ideas appeared in my mind.
A lot have mentioned the game show with a man having to survive on prize wins, but there's also a movie called Symbol where a man is stuck in a block room and he gets randomized items via button presses.
It gets increasingly strange.

That was a really good jumpscare! I think it’s because of all the tension of knowing that eventually, the wheel would bring up something bad, but not knowing what or when. Then the bad thing arrives. And… nothing happens. So the moment your guard starts to drop a little bit, out comes the scare, and I almost jumped out of my skin
And you just ruined it for someone good job👍

Am I the only one who feel like the room was almost like some creature's stomach? All the "prizes" just being stuff said creature consumed and the wheel only activating this creature's hunger (or thirst, as seen in the finale).

Decent game! The thing that would make it more interesting would be if you could use what you win to do more and at least make the player think that they might have a shot at escaping. Like rig the box and the blanket to be a safety net to save some of the more fragile prizes, which might include a battery for the radio which you can maybe rig to try reaching outside?

This reminds me of the japanese game show where s guy could only get anything including food or clothing, from sweepstakes, and ot took him like a year and some change or something and was completely isolated.

This game reminded me of when that Japanese game show did a live stream where they trapped a naked guy in a tiny apartment with nothing and he had to enter raffles and contests through magazines in order to win stuff to fill the apartment, including food. They only provided him with water and magazine raffles to mail in. In order to win/escape he had to accumulate something like, 10k in prizes and he would often win things he couldnt use like rice, but nothing to cook it with. The show lasted for months and it was actually really sad what they put the poor guy through.

Looks like a story about japanese stand up artist who was locked up in the apartment for several years without any clothes and food, and he had to use only lottery wins as his way to survive this show
That wheely took a dark turn at the end.
You could potentially survive the water if you hold your breath just before the room fills up and swim towards the hole. You will go up together with the water rising higher through the ceiling hole. You might be chopped in half up there but it's worth a shot I guess
the force of the water would push you down. itd have to stop flowing and equalize first, which could take too long based on the length of the hole
@@gwennorthcutt421 The force would push you down if the room isn't filled up. But if the entire room fills up there is nowhere for the water to go but up. And quickly too when you consider how much was pouring out.
It would have been much scarier if it were sand because then you're just fucked
@@Galaxia53 even if the room is full, there'd be a time when the force of the water still rushes from the hole. it does depend on the method of filling for how much psi. think of it like how a faucet makes force even in a full tub. with the amount of water and the speed at which it fills, i would assume theres a lot of psi.
