    Thank you- for the life of me I could never find the 12v socket in the passenger side- thanks a million

    By pushing firmly on the break at a stop you automatically go into “Hold” mode. This is convenient at a long signal or stop and is not associated with the stop/start feature as you can leave your foot entirely off the brake pedal. The start/stop feature only works in the normal driving mode as well. When in sport or sport plus’s it does not engage upon a stop.

    Thank you! It’s been a year and i has no idea my car had the 12V socket on the passenger side. Super helpful for my radar detector..although I’m not sure if it shuts off when the car does..either way, hugely helpful

    Great video and very informative. Would be worthwhile showing how to open the bonnet with a flat battery on a 992 (once you have opened the door with the secret key) and charge the bonnet release with a battery pack..... as I have just had to learn....!

      oh wow! what caused the flat battery Fred? Where did you manage to find out what to do?

      @@Get10Yards car is in my garage but working in Switzerland. As it hasn’t been driven for 3 months had a call from our friendly Porsche Connect at 3am this morning informing me of the same. Got my friend to go around and start the engine in an attempt to charge the battery.... when he couldn’t open the door, I started to panic.... and investigated how to charge the Bonnet Release (Bench Charge) I was then reminded by the Porsche dealer that (whom called me this evening... great service) I have 2 years Porsche Assist. Best of luck from a Geordie lad in Zurich

      @@fredvasey4849 ah right! You know what I likely would have gone looking to find out how to do something too instead of just ringing the Porsche Assist! Glad you got it sorted then, I will bare that in mind with it being in the front boot! All the best Fred hope Zurich is treating you well!

    Good video. The tire sealant is furnished instead of a spare. If you get a flat you can attempt to seal the tire and inflate it. You should also have an air pump. I have the 992 c2s and regret not getting a base C2 instead. I'm wondering is your paint the metallic black or the base black?

    • @Get10Yards
      @Get10Yards  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Frank, thanks for the info! I think in the UK the air pump is a cost extra, twice as much as an unbranded one the same from a car maintenance store. I always carry a socket tool set in the car but I need a new pump!
      I just went with the flat cost free Black. I did get the car ceramic coated though at the dealer on delivery.

    the sealant is for a on the road flat tire fix, so you can get to the dealer and get a new tire without a tow.

    • @Get10Yards
      @Get10Yards  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Correct. They have since removed it as a standard include like some of the other regions and it’s now a cost extra!

    That is to inflate the tire if you get a flat. Should also be an airpump there as well.

    • @Get10Yards
      @Get10Yards  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Indeed. It looks like they have added it back to the included options again on new cars after they took it away to charge for it. In the UK at least!

    • @charp150
      @charp150 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the US models Porsche has a system called Homelink. You can program your garage door there. It is built into the PCM but you can create a shortcut to it with one of the programmable buttons.

    • @Get10Yards
      @Get10Yards  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Frank is that an APP through the PCM connect? I checked this morning and the Homelink isn't on my system. I am ware of what it is I think it was on my last BMW. Maybe it's a region set up and it can be downloaded to the system through the Porsche connect?

      @charp150 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Get10Yards hmm I'm not sure maybe something with the UK models that is different. If you go to vehicle settings in the PCM you should see a menu open for HomeLink setup. I believe it is a standard feature, at least in the US.

    Can you turn off auto Start/Stop function permanently?

    • @Get10Yards
      @Get10Yards  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you have the sport chrono you can add turning it off to the Individual setting on the wheel button, so you can set it that way when you get in the car. But I don't have that.
      Unfortunately otherwise you have to turn it off everytime you get in the car and I have checked online on some Porsche sites and it seems it has to be set to ON when starting the car to be correct to the emission tests to get the car passed.
