Just saw a new one in my local dealership and thinking to buy it right away, but damn those angel eyes are going to be missed. Wish I could get a new one with those old lights!
Thanks for the overview and your thoughts. I waited for the LCI only because I received an allocation just a few weeks ago and new the '25 allocations would be coming soon. I like the changes, but don't know that they would have been worth waiting for more than a month or two.
Aftermarket wheels are putting the location on the left side of the wheel. But the OEM wheel has no button, controlled via iDrive 8.5 touch screen button. th-cam.com/video/iA7Jmc47UcQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=vtGWW4XWm5XvbYvh
@@sundeepm3 personally I never thought they were bad just they don’t work on some cars, like for example the x5 looks Incredible but the m4 doesn’t really look all that good with them
So they’ve removed the front laser lights, and you don’t even get the rear lasers on the LCI? You can get a flat bottomed alcantara steering wheel no problem, and the bhp will be unnoticeable. Taking the front lasers away is a massive downgrade.
i don’t like to be that guy but i really do prefer the angel eyes headlights, i will definitely be swapping out the headlights, that’s all other than that love it.
well funny how the last model is always preferred. But very minor improvements. But this one looks more clean somehow but those images are most of the time computer generated.
Bmw really taking cost cutting measures. First getting rid of the laser lights, removing climate control buttons for on screen ones. BMW is steering away from the ultimate driving machine and just become the ultimate technology machine.
going to make a deposit on a 2024 M3 Comp Xdrive tonight -- not a fan of the headlights and don't care about an extra 20 hp for an extra $1000 or whatever.
Production for model year 2024 is ending soon, so unless your dealership has an existing allocation you would get one. Otherwise they’re going to move you to 2025. I would double check with them to confirm
Honestly I use to think so until I got a g80 . Legit it is so good looking . If you look at the grille, they just missed perfection. There is a bar in the middle of the grille with parking sensors….that should be car body material. Below that should be the honey comb vents. They were so close. My car is all black so it all blends together . The grille doesn’t bother me at all .
@@ashishpatel350 I have owned f30s so I like the look of f80s. I even considered buying one used. I think the f80 will get lost in the shuffle to be honest . Between a v8 and the last inline 6 without a hybrid. Time will tell. All for a manual but red yuck lol.

Yeah the angel eyes are definitely iconic! Might be possible to retrofit them

Anytime! Yeah that completely makes sense for your case. Definitely not worth waiting 1-2 years for though
Guys you can just go to the parts dept at a bmw dealership and buy the front laserlights
Definitely possible, but doubt many will spend that much to do it
I think there's still a heating button. They put it on the side of the steering wheel i believe

Idk something about the new lights on the g80 feels better than the g82, maybe I’m just more used to it now idk
Yeah was thinking the same. Think everyone will get used to them, and since BMW will start moving the whole lineup in this direction

Yup no longer able to get the laser headlights, and the rear taillights are only available on the M4

Yeah the angel eyes are iconic. Otherwise yeah the other features are great
The angel eyes are gone which is so sad. I'm glad I have the last year of the epic G80 DRLs of old.
Yeah it’s unfortunate
u cant upgrade the software as 8.5 is new hardware
Yeah not possible. In the past, people were able to do upgrades and get carplay though

Yeah I'm sure it'll grow on people and look more "modern", but will have to see it in person!

Yeah they've really cost cut a lot, while increasing prices. I'm sure other manufactures are doing something similar as well

Nice! Do you already have an allocation for one or picking up off the lot/used?
@@sundeepm3 my understanding is I'm ordering a 2024 so maybe the dealer has already got the allocation

@@sundeepm3 yes - got 1 allocation for 2024 M3 Comp Xdrive - at the dealership now. They aren't doing 2025 yet.
I ordered a 25 M3. The new lights looks sick. It makes the pre LCI look dated
Phenomenal performing car but the styling (from the side and somewhat from the back) is very, eeeeeh.
Definitely took many people time to appreciate the styling. I do like the side/rear profile as you can see how wide and aggressive the hips are
@@sundeepm3 ya that’s fair. I have a E46 M3 (coupe) and just miss the smoother lines. The M4 is probably the more similar vehicle now.
Nice! Yeah the whole M lineup has changed drastically in design, but the G87 M2 has more of a boxy straight design
Some feedback: I would change your pitch or tone from time to time. Your voice is very monotonous.
Definitely, something I’m trying to work on
BMW M series designs and interior fell off long ago.
Yeah lot of changes in the G series chassis
f80 still looks better
Yeah the F80 is a timeless look for sure, was my first M car. But the G80 excels in many ways
No way lmao. It looks outdated
