Nice video, Jagoda! As a 26-year old living in a western society, I can definitely say slow living is accessible to me, and is something I need in my life to feel fulfilled. I feel like the world around me seems to be going so unnecessarily fast. Today I'm grateful for being able to sleep in, having someone I can talk to, and finding this video that helped me to understand once again how lucky I am to be born in the country I live in. Thanks! 🌱

Thank you, this was very informative to watch! You've definitely hit the nail on the head here, I've always wondered how is it possible to meditate and do yoga on the beach all day if you need to pay the bills and have small kids? It's just annoying to see all these Insta girls with barely any responsibilities in life and making videos for a living as if it's the only choice a person is forced to make to escape overwhelm. I think it'd be great if you could do a few more videos with practical tips and techniques ❤ thanks so much!

Your discussion is spot on. I have felt very “excluded” as an older woman living on Social Security, as their images were something I could never do before, and certainly will not experience that now, given my budget. I lived the “hustle” for years as a younger person, but now, I want to slow down, enjoy the act of living(!), taking the time to appreciate what’s around me, read, unplug the distracting, and breathe. Thank you for this discussion. There are a lot of us who are struggling to live slowly given the backdrop of the elite ocean and forest scenes that accompany other posts on the subject. Again, thank you!❤

Hi Julia(Is it your name or is it Julien?),
Thank you for your comment! What you've shared is really important for getting out of the fast-paced lifestyle. Anyone can enjoy small, simple joys, but we need to:
      1)Learn how to appreciate them.
2)Be content with what we already have.
I'm really happy that you're enjoying activities that help you stay mindful. I also admier your gratitude list. Appreciating two simple flowers, for example, takes life to another level of fulfillment. ❤❤

    This is spot on.
I watch a lot of those slow living videos, and without even looking at the video (only listening), I know exactly what the girl will look like, what her living space looks like and what kind of a pet she has lol
    It’s all generic boasting basically.
They’re content creators, and they have to make good video’s because I assure you, no one would be watching my videos shot in my messy tiny kitchen, living room covered in toys and my 3 yr olds current obsession with bandaids lol
I don’t have a plant anywhere in my entire apartment, there is a huge pile of laundry piled up in my bedroom just waiting for me to fold it lol, and and I have 2 teens who are always hungry leaving behind crumbs and wet kitchen counters and a million empty water bottles everywhere lol.
Not something anyone wants to see 😂
However… I am a SAHM, and I find little pockets of time in my day where I slow down and just savor my coffee, or sit in my quit for now messy living room while my toddler naps, or finding peace in repetition such as cleaning or chopping veggies and fruit when I’m cooking etc.
My whole day isn’t slow, and nor do I want it to be slow all day. It can get hectic quick, but, the little pockets of silence, stillness, throughout the day is what makes the day great. How can you enjoy your stillness and slowness or whatever you want to call it if it’s always like that lol

this life is for anyone who wants to go back to basics. both my parents did this in Europe which it's still being done. this is just common sense not a realization - but perhaps for you. if the videos online bother you, or anyone, stop watching them. it must bother you for a reason. figure out that reason and change that part of you that it is affecting. i myself live like this and what bothers me most is seeing Amazon products everywhere so i took time to ask why this is bothering me. i came with the solution that i can not afford such extravagances, whether it being a kettle, a butter dish or clothes, so then realized that my second hand items have stories to tell as theirs do not. this is not a game of who is better, more popular, or soft spoken, but doing what is best for yourself and your community. thank you for your video.

I can see you are very young and still your video is super mature. I enjoyed it massively!! The problem with slow living/minimalistic or all those things that trry to make life eassier and less capitalist has become more something pure astehtic ( like decor, or living in a Montain etc etc) . But the escence of slow living and mínimalism is good, has a good root tbh. I think anyone can have a slow living doesnt matter if you live in a big city or on a mountain. For me is to have a routine, enjoy little things and to try not to run all day. I work all day so after i finish work i try to relax and live as slow as i can.

Thank you for talking about this. As beautiful as the slow living aesthetics are, it feels like they are a road block to what actually matter - and what I am looking for. I would love for my home to feel more like me (working on it!), but not in the minimalistic way that seems connected with slow living... however, my career is highly stressful and I really want a life that is more calming and peaceful, thus turning to the slow living movement to get there.
Gratitude: received a free brownie batter treat from a local shop that is super tasty - they are very kind; was able to unload the dishwasher and cook myself a meal with my back hurting; being able to pick up my daughter from her dad's this afternoon (not only the fact that she comes home today but also because I am physically and financially able to do so).

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I get it. Slow living aesthetics are beautiful, but sometimes they can feel like roadblocks. It's great that you're making your home feel more like you but let me ask you question here: How would you describe your ideal living space? What elements or features would make it feel truly "you"?
Finding gratitude in things, like the free brownie batter treat and being able to pick up your daughter, is awesome. Keep going on your journey to create a life that reflects what you want! P.S. I would love to try this brownie haha🤍

I am a fan of slow living cottage core vibe it gives me hope in my depressive life or it is the cause of my depression because I am denying reality. But whatever so slowing down makes us so nervous because we feel like missing out we are risking a better future but somehow slow movement have helped me understand my emotions my mental health and the universe.

Interesting! Slow living, to me, is not about "looking" but about "being". Now of course it does not mean you shouldn't take care of your looks... Anyway, most people I know who adopted this lifestyle are either quite poor or Mid-30s~40s people fed up with their busy lifestyle (hence with some savings to buy property). About the space, you are spot on! It costs money to have space for just yourself. That's why I believe it has to be a collective movement, with collective projetcs - renewing our collective (and thus personal) life. And that's the paradox of it all: many people in the slow living movement want to go back to these roots, to know what it feels like to be thirsty and take care or your own water/food source. And that life is far from slow, it's hard work and it feels great :) Well, to me at least ahah. It feels fulfilling, respectful and with dinigity. Even though I struggle between working more to win more money to buy propoerty and just slow down, winning less and waste my earnings on a rent haha Thank you so much!

Dear Jagoda, love your video, it highlights very important points. I'm a Hungarian living in Poland and actually moved out of Kraków to Podkarpacie because the rent went up so much. Unfortunately (or not) we live in a block not a cottage. :D We discovered slow living (which for us is closely tied with budget - living) and it's surprisingly fulfilling, even if at first I was affraid it may be boring compared to the city life. But definitely, one can live slow anywhere and cottagecore is not for everyone :)

Awesome video. You give me hope. There is no hope for an improved life under capitalism. We live to work so that we can pay our rentier lords the tribute they demand. If we don't, they force us into homelessness. There is no way out of this nightmare except to take legal control of private property - the means of production.
