Thanks again! Forgot where I heard this recently - but a great secret is to narrow the sleeves of blazers and jackets. They so often seem over-sized - when all that's needed is a simple narrowing of sleeve width. Not as involved as the body of the jacket and most of the time it's all that's needed.
I give myself a little facial every time I apply my moisturiser. I spend 10 - 15 minutes massaging in my moisturiser and then my makeup looks so much nicer. Love all your tips Josie. You always looks so polished and high end! x 😄
Great tips. I also think that the condition of your footwear can make or break a look. It doesn't matter how much effort you go to with the rest of your outfit if say, you are wearing cuffed shoes or shoes that need re-heeling. 💕
I've just started taking my make up off and cleansing my skin as soon as i get home. I would usually postpone it until bedtime, and now i can't see why...(well, i know...lazy me🤷♀️) but i think it is a great beauty trick, glad to see some Josie wisdom shared with everybody😉

Your tips are essential in anyone being polished and at their best. And the greatest news, being refined, impeccable, well groomed, and “polished” can be accomplished at any price point. You don’t have to wear designer originals and spend a fortune keeping yourself and your wardrobe at their best! Keep it simple, keep it classic, keep it neat and tidy and in a state of good repair, pay attention to details and above all... be kind and remember your manners... and anyone can present their most attractive self! Well done, Josie, for helping anyone and everyone have the tools necessary to be at their very best and polished!

That’s a very lofty goal. However, “everyone” does not share your personal philosophy. I respect and applaud those willing to live without so many of today’s comforts to conform to such idealistic goals. And I also respect those who make their choice to wear silk. Wherever you choose to position your beliefs within the circle of life is your prerogative... just as it is for everyone else.
Kudos for doing your part in the way you see fit. And kudos for everyone else doing their part, no matter how big or small or whether it lives up to your ideals or not. Freedom to choose can sometimes feel like a double edged sword, especially when everyone doesn’t share your same ideals, philosophy and goals. Again, kudos to you in your quest saving silkworm larvae.

Always polished, Josie!! Love your tips. My tip is to be wary of how one's bras and panties fit... Especially when you gain or loose weight. Having the Girls hang where they look best and no VPL is something I am always aware of for myself.

Great tips, I've been meaning to change my pillowcases to silk ones for some time now, they feel amazing and I feel as if there is less breakout on my skin when I use them! I'd also mention the lingerie as well, it doesn't seem as such a big deal and nobody sees it, but it gives that extra boost and feel of wearing something just for yourself! And we all know that self-love and self-care are the first steps of feeling good! Btw, love that nail polish colour, do you know by any chance the name?

Wonderful tips! Though do you have any recommendations for us who can't afford nor be able to get their nails done? I am a pianist & a violinist and both require me to keep my nails super short and manicures are quite so 'not allowed'

I’d like to know this too.
Just a tip from a fellow pianist: keep your nails neat and clean. That’s it. Clean under your nails regularly even if they’re short, file them daily as to not get hangnails. You could also buff them once in a while, and a thin coat of nude nail polish never goes unnoticed. Even if your nails cannot be long, doesn’t mean that you can’t keep them looking nice!

I’ve bought cashmere from Lilysilk before and they are good value and the shipping was fast. Still have to bite the bullet on silk itself, always wary of the care. Couldn’t agree more about the hair in regards to looking polished. Feels like a facelift to my whole appearance.

I wouldn't buy silk from none-reputable retailers, it's always worth checking the retailers policy to make sure it's ethically produced!!

I think it is a good idea to buy from brands that care about how their fabrics are made and if their employees are well paid are their impact on the planet... The industry of fashion is one of the most polluting industries and the only way that we can make an impact is by not consuming but if we are consuming let's do it right and support brands that try there best... For those who care: The silkworms are asphyxiated or *boiled alive* in order to get the silk fibers. SIlk literally makes me feel sick to my stomach now that I know this.
