  • A metal mix version of my 'Cognition Enhancer' isochronic tones session for clearer and faster thinking. Helpful for ADHD. Enter a state of relaxed focus while working/studying.
► You can find all the Cognition Enhancer tracks in this playlist: • Cognition Enhancer Iso...
► Subscribe to my channel and be updated with my latest tracks:
    www.youtube.com...
► If you are new to this type of audio brainwave entrainment, find out how isochronic tones work and how they compare to binaural beats here: www.mindamend.c....
    What does this track do?
This music can be used for longer study or homework sessions and will help you to maintain a good level of concentration and focus, while at the same time feeling quite relaxed.
This track contains isochronic tones, which are the repetitive beats you hear behind the music. After around 5 or 6 minutes your brainwaves start to synchronize with the frequency of the tones. Then, as the tones change and cycle up and down through a specific frequency range, your brainwaves follow along in step with them. This process is known as brainwave entrainment.
The ‘beat’ frequencies used in this track range between 10 to 20 Hz, which means they beat at between 10 to 20 times per second. At the lowest end of 10Hz, this is known as the Alpha frequency range, which is a reasonably relaxed mental state. At the highest 20Hz frequency you go up into the Beta range. When you are awake, alert and focused during the day, your brain’s dominant frequency will be in the Beta range.
When we are studying or doing things that are mentally taxing, we might feel very alert and focused, but we are also a little tense, perhaps because of the importance of what we are working on, or maybe because we are under a time deadline. This extra pressure can cause mental blocks and make it harder for you to think on your feet.
This isochronic tones session is designed to help overcome that problem, by increasing your levels of Alpha and Beta brainwave activity. So you get the benefit of having increased beta activity which is good for concentration, but at the same time, you have enough Alpha activity to be relaxed, resulting in a state of relaxed focus, where you can think more clearly and overcome mental blocks.
    Headphones are recommended
You can use this session without headphones, but to get the full benefit of the stimulation, particularly if you have ADHD, you need to wear headphones.
This is an advanced ‘split hemisphere’ isochronic tones session, which stimulates each ear with a different beat frequency. Your right brain is stimulated within the 10 to 14Hz range, and your left brain between 10 to 20Hz, making the left more dominant. The left brain is associated with logic, analysis, maths, language, facts and reasoning, so it can be beneficial to have the left more dominant when studying or other similar mentally taxing activities.
    ADD/ADHD
ADD and similar disorders are often characterized by "slow-wave" EEG patterns, particularly in the left frontal region. So this track can also provide relief for ADD/ADHD symptoms by increasing the frequency of the brainwave activity in the left brain.
How should you listen to this?
You can listen to this track with your eyes open while studying, reading or doing other activities that require a higher level of concentration. You can also sit somewhere quiet and relaxing and use it as a form of mental meditation with your eyes closed.
    When to listen?
It is best to use this during the daytime and early evening, but not too close to bedtime. Because this track stimulates your brain to a more alert and focused state, it’s not suitable for listening to while sleeping, as it will probably disrupt your sleep.
How Loud Should The Volume Be?
Play it at a volume level you feel comfortable with. It should be loud enough to hear the repetitive isochronic tones, but not so loud that it’s uncomfortable for you. Somewhere in the middle is my recommendation.

I'm not a metal fan, but I've listened to metal in the past to focus on work. It kind of babysits the part of my brain that wants to wander and fuck around. The problem was the "singing", it would get on my nerves, so I switched to foreign metal so I at least couldn't understand the words lol. Was listening to one of your more sleepy-trancey tracks but was zoning out. Was about to search for German metal and had the idea to type "for focus and concentration" instead and here I am and I am so glad I did!! Love this!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ❤

if i could have found this channel way back in my first year of college, I think I would have had a much easier time. This type of metal is the kind of thing I would blast in high school when I had to study, but by the time I actually needed to work hard at studying for college, my old metal instrumentals just weren't cutting it anymore. I found this channel about a year ago in my last year of college and the DIFFERENCE it made was unparraelled. I got so much work done so much faster, even a few weeks before my official ADHD diagnosis (which also helped to make my last semester so much more fun since I actually enjoyed school and assignments again). Anyways, now that I've graduated, I'm still listening to this channel for when I work on my novel or even when I'm just playing games on my phone. This mix in particular is probably my new favourite of yours! Would love more metal/rock/punk mixes!

personally I really love melodeath, thus I'd recommend that genre bc the 'lyrics' are so growl-y they are basically another instrument. at least my brain if not intentionally focussed on understanding the text will not recognize it as text and this allows for it to go into just dope background while also beautifully metal (admittedly after years of listening to some of those bands there is the occasional urge to growl along to some parts xD) I can very much recommend Be'Lakor, Dark Tranquility, Insomnium just to name a few amazing bands. sorry for probably oversharing xD

Been listening to this channel for several months. It works incredibly well for me, especially late at night when I don't want more Adderall (or even caffeine) to stay on that last crunch-time task. (For you other ADHDers, crunch-time is life, right? Didn't want to do it for 2 weeks, but now it is due, tomorrow, so gotta stay up until 2:30 am and make sure you look competent ... right?)
Anyway: Here's $10 for this single track. I'm going to wear it out quickly, so please do another! The "Upbeat" focus music with deep bass was a huge upgrade for me from my "heavy metal study mix." Drum & Bass is life. This track is a dream come true.

I remember asking for a metal track at some point. THANKS FOR LISTENING TO US! So many times I hear really good riffs and really like a song until the singing starts. Don't really care for the screaming that some bands thinks makes it heavy. Versus a thick crunchy fuzzy guitar sound.
This is perfect and bad ass! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Thanks again. Keep up the awesome work!

17 hours left before math exam start. 3 unreaded lecture slides, 1.5 incompleted problem set, 4 unreaded assignment solution. With this metal mix, I summon *ADHD HYPERFOCUS MODE* and adapt to whatever fuck I read in the next 17 hours.

I've been a metalhead since age 12, in recent years i've listened much less than i used too, it's been mainly podcasts and your awesome study music. Thank you for this Jason, brought me back and was able to zone out and write hundreds of lines of code today :)

I'm not sure if anyone else can hear it, but there is a throbbing sound in the background that is low but it somehow manages to overpower the music. And no, it's not part of tracks, it's there throughout the whole video. I liked the way this started but unfortunately I couldn't use it to study because of that. The tracks are awesome though.

I love this and the Hip Hop one that you made. I continue to come back to these two as my favorite ones to listen to while I'm working. Would love to see more of these two genres. Thank you so much for your work and continuing to put out fantastic music that helps our ADHD brains.

Thank you for making this. I was skeptical at first about whether or not it would help, but man was I ever wrong! It's like my brain is not tuned to a certain frequency so it tries to listen to all incoming "frequencies" at the same time. Cognitive disregulation. I literally can't turn off the incoming stream of external stimuli. This music (through headphones, of course) acts like a frequency jammer so I can focus on the task at hand. Incredible. Thank you. 😊

I was wondering on a theory why ADHD music of beats works so well, then I realised, why do people listen to metal music while working? its because of the rhythmatic strumming like a binural beat, so decided to check if there is a metal version of a binural beats, needless to say I've been listening to this non-stop for 2 working days, I've gotten more done than I care to admit, love this discovery! Thank you!
