Water bottle refill station outside of bathroom that is located by the first aid building . That bathroom line gets long but moves super fast …there Are many many stalls inside . Other sheep and wool festivals on east coast I know are located in: MD ( big like NY) , Vermont , NH , Mass, NJ ( my state ) .. Yes ! If you want dyed farm wool in sweater quantities you have to beat everyone to the booth before someone buys a few skein of the lot (most of the wool is dyed in batches of 6 or 8 skeins ) … Mix merino and alpaca to your hearts content. Bare naked wool is quality stuff ❤ Been going since 2004 with a group of friends … we rent a place for the weekend. I prefer the fairground events over the pop ups on Friday … because the fairgrounds support the sheep farmers ❤❤ . Definitely to plan ans pace yourself .. take a break at 11 am Saturday and get lunch before the crowds .. break from 11 -2 sit and knit and watch the beautiful sweaters go by and chat with friends about what booths to go back to . Then you can get in any booth the last few hours on Saturday and all day Sunday no problem, I melt my credit card every year. ❤
I loved this, such good festival tips also! Looks like such an amazing experience, I’m glad you were able to meet some other fiber artists and hang out that’s just such a cool thing. What a lovely community 🥹🥹 I remember I went to a small festival in my town and I met the coolest old ladies. They were so happy to see young people so interested in fiber arts! Especially in a small town I only know a handful of full of other fiber artists close to my age so to get together like this one day would be such a dream. Thank you for sharing !!!
