It's pretty pathetic how a next gen console game has less features than a game two generations ago.
I’m not giving a excuse for it but only real reason why there’s less is bc people expect games to look realistic and have these high High graphics online play. You can’t really do the stuff what had back in the day with amazing graphics bc the game runs like shit and bugs happen more often plus they have little time to add things bc they’re trying to up the graphics so fans don’t cry about the shit looking goofy which I rather have game modes and fun shit with mid graphics then see the sweat coming off randy Orton ass cheeks but lot fans on twitter an other places complain every year on the models not looking real
It's cause 2k is putting too much effort into myfaction so it's taking away from quality of other modes
"Features" quit pretending like you actually care about them
It’s not the same developers. 2k rewrote the coding and apparently can’t add old features back quickly enough.

@@kingpeso4240 i played daily for months up until 14, then i might play each installment for 60 to 90 days then bail with the exception 2k19 for making me wait 3 years for a new game! I just play so many different things that i don't remember as many details on games i played 3+ years ago
A big thing for me is the wrestling itself, in games before 2k22 you could actually have different matches within the gimmick of a regular match. You could do grapples and chain grapples if you wanted a "clean" match, you could do reversals and spots, you could do slow and plotting. Now all you have is the same collar and elbow if you want to play a grappling style
I agree…this new 2k22 grapple system sucks horribly, it feels like every match is the same button pressing sequence….2k20 even had better gameplay than 22/3

Yup. They need to add it back. I don’t fully understand the decisions they make but they probably do it so they can put it back years later and promote it as “new” while taking out other features in the process,

Automatic draft, Multi man King of the ring and Gold Rush, special referee, custom story, and create a finisher WWE 2K14 really spoiled us
Create a finisher mode was the best thing ever happened to a wrestling game
They literally took all the fun away from the game with the newer generations, it’s crazy how modern consoles have less features than the older ones!
Sadly without Yukes they have to rewrite everything on their own and it’s slowly happing. We should have all of these back at some point. Just wish we still had them.

They should add some realistic stuff like. Rope break animations and being able to hold onto the submission till the reff count to 5 . Or if you break the announce tables in the 1st match in universe mode the other matches the table will still be broken

I miss the instant replays…now we only get pointless replays at the end of the match where they highlight simple reversals, some pin attempts and maybe a finisher used during the match sometime not even the actual finish…….I just turn the replay off now

2K lowered people’s expectations so much that even a moderate uptick in quality is considered a massive improvement. In that way, 2k23 is the most accurate WWE sim ever created.

I like how grandiose the stages feel in 2k14 compared to.. any other 2k game. When you were doing a match at a WM stage, it actually felt huge because of how the stage looked compared to the superstars. Now all the stages look small and more or so indie in comparison, even the wrestlemania stages.

actually, you CAN use belts, put the match on extreme rules then make you/your team on the right side so you can do the run-in cut sense then make sure your opponent/s are champions are when you run in on there entrance hit them and they would drop a belt.
Nah not the same bro, you shouldnt have to do a run in attack in an extreme rules or whatever with the belt just to have it, it should just be on the time keeper table
You could do that in 2k22, but the problem is that’s pretty stupid that the championship belt isn’t for possible use in any match if you’re a champion or your opponent is.

Yup I remember one of those Smackdown vs Raw games you could do it. I don’t understand why this stuff isn’t included every year. I don’t even watch wrestling every week and I KNOW they use weapons in multiple ways. So the excuse they want to keep it as realistic as possible doesn’t even make sense.
Who can do king of the ring matches in wwe 2k23 who just have to go to tournament and put no championship on the line then when you the go button it will wwe king of the ring

Really displeased with the 'combo' system, inconsistent counter button and arcade-y/spammy feel of the game. So much has been taken out of these games. Most everything else is not bad.

It's been years and it's up to the creative director (who's obviously not a real wrestling fan) to make the devs re-create and put those features back into the game.

Yes! Agreed. DLC is ass. They didn’t improve universe mode much… the career mode is cool. The gameplay is once again cool, but bare minimum would be putting these kind of match types we’ve been asking for, for years over putting a damn card game in the series.. that not a single soul asked for.

If you do the regular tournament but do it at king of the ring arena it becomes King of the ring commentary and all tournament brackets even change just make sure its not for a title

Can we play 2k14 in ps5? Cause seriously I went back playing 2k19 and 18. 2k23 sucks and has become too arcadey. The only thing it did well are the graphics but gameplay wise, I still prefer the older ones. The ps5 is more than capable of handling this features I dont understand why they had to remove it.

Not true, I believe SvR 2011 also had inferno matches, and they were amazing with so many different animations when you try whipping someone towards the rope infront of the fire.

@@g00se72 I’ve never played WWE 12 but I have played 13 the gameplay is the same but in WWE 12 they get up way faster even if you hit them with a finisher + 13 had the larger roster + showcase and it made 2k14
@@VIN_ZER0 Universe mode was probably the best it ever was in 12, the RTWM is THE BEST RTWM in WWE games, in WWE 12 it wasn't like it was straight up no selling, they did stay down, not to forget that dope ass sfx when you hit a signature/finisher, like my guy you need to play WWE 12 and you'll realize how good it is.
