@ Tiny House Expedition I enjoyed this video very much! You both are so cute, and funny! But more than that, yes, more, the information you give to us is always needed and valuable. I love this A-Frame!! I would say that the vibe I got with the yellow and black is honey bees, esp given the honeycomb tiles in the bathroom! I love all the wood, and the beams, and the space upstairs, so much that can be done up there. I know it is an A Frame in the woods, but I think the owners should put a lovely chandelier over the bed for ambiance and reading! I love this place! Thanks for sharing this and other videos :)))

@@TinyHouseExpedition Have fun making plans for your own renovation! The research is arduous, but essential. I grew up in North Bend, and we used to go camping at Salmon la Sac, at the north end of the lake (yikes! In the fifties!). My very favorite lake in WA is Lake Crescent - I think there are some A-frame rentals around there, too.
When I was a kid, my grandparents built a gambrel house in the woods here in Oregon, with the same floor plan. Single spaces up and down, with only bathrooms and a small storage room / closet closed off. Built in about 1972. We loved going over there - like being at camp all the time.

I was thinking the same thing when the shot of the windows came with the view comment. I get wanting air circulation, but having what feels like to me as a bunch of windows chopping up the view doesn't work for me. A 'large as possible' single pane window, triangular or ____ w/b great. Then for ventilation add 3 or 4 sliding windows (depending on shape) spread as far apart as possible. The lower ones could be fairly low. The upper(s) could be fairly high, opened and closed with a specifically made opener on a pole or ___. I was picturing the bed facing out and a tall clothes cabinet (72-80" tall) back to back with the headboard. It would add a bit more privacy for that area since there is no door & add needed storage/hanging space. It would have to be brought up in pieces and the assembled.
Aside from tiny houses for smaller living sake, it greatly matters to have the outside of tiny homes look interesting and inviting. Presentation does count. You don't see such artistic, unique, and charming looks to the outside of most traditional homes. How fun the burbs/city blocks would look if the houses took on the look of tiny homes. I painted the front door of my yellow house purple and the flack that I got at the time from the brown, beige, & neutral loving neighbors was amusing.
How funny to have a negative reaction to expression & vibrancy, 😅 a sign of modern conformity for sure. But definitely agree with you on how the visual presentation matters. It’s amazing how much more inspired, inviting & cozy visually distinct small homes are 😍
@@TinyHouseExpedition Absolutely. Whenever a new Tiny House video pops up and shows the outside, it is like getting a beautifully wrapped gift. You can't wait to see what is inside. Also, when tiny home owners are enjoying their outdoor space, the exterior of their house is a backdrop for them that adds additional interest and coziness to the outdoor space. Beautiful interior design and north woods setting! Thanks for sharing this! Seems like A-frames are an efficient and inexpensive way to build a home that can withstand the elements, no? With a roof like that you’d never have to worry about leaks, exceeding snow-load limits or shoveling! While we waited for our house to be built on top of the footprint of the original doublewide, we lived (illegally) in our 2-car garage. It was makeshift, and essentially one big open “cabin” with a storage room on one end that became our temporary bedroom. For a bathroom we rented a porta-pottie outdoors and warmed it with a heat lamp. We showered in a kiddie pool in our potting shed, a long, snowy hike away from the garage in winter, which required hooking up a hose to the frost-free hydrant and firing up a propane on-demand heater for the water. So life was definitely quirky! But we loved living cabin-style in that big, open space and truly miss it, even though our “real” house has a fairly open floor plan with a loft. Life is simply better lived simply, right? Thanks for the Winnie clips
What a great way to make use of your “cabin” space & sounds like fun experience! Also probably made the house you built you built feel extra luxurious. 😊We just love taking Winnie with us ❤️

Love A-Frames. I used design and play around with them a lot when I was younger. As far as the windows go. There shouldn’t be any reason why a window could not be added to the side. That would make the space feel less claustrophobic, like a coffin.
I like how the cabinet handles mimic the half moon wallpaper design. I love that wallpaper, and the furniture choices as well. The tv console is my favorite piece. Dude, I think you may be better off sitting down to pee. This home is so lovely, from top to bottom, and wall to wall.

Good point on rainwater; not sure how to make it work with an A-frame. 🤔 Maybe if it was raised slightly that would help with a collection system but does seem less than ideal
My great Aunt lived in an A-Frame on the Mississippi in the Ozarks in Southern Missouri when I was kid. It was originally built as a Fishing/Hunting/vacation house but after my great uncle died in a work accident in their 40's she decided to sell her house fix it up into living condition and move down there. I just bought 20 acres of land on the Rio Grande just south of Albuquerque. The original plan while looking for land was to build a tiny house but the land I bough already has a 16x30 building on it that was use as a garage or some sort of shop so I'm just going to build my tiny house out of it because it's already there and in good enough shape and will save me thousands by not having to build the structure, besides it's 480 square feet which is plenty room for me.

I enjoyed seeing how this aframe was decorated. I live in a one room (with a bathroom) 28x28 foot aframe with a sleeping loft. My biggest problem is lack of storage. I am considering putting a wall up to separate the back of the house, the 1/8 that is not bath and laundry, from the kitchen, dining and living room areas. It could be a closet/dressing room. I seem to have a plethora of clothes. Loved the video.
I absolutely LOVE A-frames & this house is perfect. I'd love something exactly like this for the husband & our 5 dogs. Only thing missing is a work space for me. I'm about to be a certified licensed Massage Therapist and dream of having a small work space by my home. This house, gaming table and all is perfect. I think maybe the Only thing I'd change is maybe a couple skylights in the bedrooms upstairs. But that's not a deal breaker for me. I've never been the the PCNW but I have always felt like it's always called to me. I don't know why but it just has.
It would likely only require a longer water feed tube to turn that toilet 90° left so you would be standing out in front of the toilet facing the slant wall rather than under it. Yes, you will be face-to-the-wall, but not in it. I had an under-the-stairs powder room configured like that and it worked okay.
Yeah....I just about lost my dream vision of living in a A frame when i saw him struggle with the toiket:) That scene reminded me of the movie "on bring John Malcovich" where every office room ceiling is 5 feet so you have to crick' your neck to move around to do your work:) Ill look on this channel for fully insulated semi-off grid small-tiny homes which use solar/wood stove and other energy saving ideas lile window louvres for nite time cold weather etc
Haha love the matching plaid shirts for extra forest vibes lol! My partner and I are the same, we somehow come out wearing either the same shirt or matching colors. Today we're both wearing gray shirts! :) I'm not a fan of A-frames, but that's a very cool cabin and I'd love to stay there someday!
I do agree with you that a small A frame house looks cozy and cute but it has many issues that compromise convenience, especially the small windows( darkens the rooms) and small areas in the toilet due to limited space of the A frame house. Thus to build one must be planned adequately ahead of time to overcome such problems that hinders conveniences. Aside from the small spaces within the A frame house, if you build it in the suburbs and near in the city or populated areas in the tropical climates with warm weather, the air inside the place will have a high temperature and cause discomfort to the occupants. In anyways putting a double sided insulation and construct several wide windows will solve the problem. My tepee like or A frame house is now nearly finish and solve the several problems that were encountered by so many owner of tepee house and A frame inspired homes around the world. My A frame house is nearly 3 storeys high plus an attic with 110 square meter area. Thanks for the post guys.

You need to come visit! 😊 Maybe the 2nd bedroom could be a workspace??
Yes more a frames
🥳
Nice video! We have an A-frame too and are starting to look at remodeling ideas. Thanks!
It would likely only require a longer water feed tube to turn that toilet 90° left so you would be standing out in front of the toilet facing the slant wall rather than under it. Yes, you will be face-to-the-wall, but not in it. I had an under-the-stairs powder room configured like that and it worked okay.
Good suggestion 👍👍😊
Yeah....I just about lost my dream vision of living in a A frame when i saw him struggle with the toiket:)
That scene reminded me of the movie "on bring John Malcovich" where every office room ceiling is 5 feet so you have to crick' your neck to move around to do your work:)
Ill look on this channel for fully insulated semi-off grid small-tiny homes which use solar/wood stove and other energy saving ideas lile window louvres for nite time cold weather etc
Love your videos
Thank you Timothy 💕
Haha love the matching plaid shirts for extra forest vibes lol! My partner and I are the same, we somehow come out wearing either the same shirt or matching colors. Today we're both wearing gray shirts! :) I'm not a fan of A-frames, but that's a very cool cabin and I'd love to stay there someday!
😂 true intimacy!
Love it thanks. You just need a good aim😀.
😂
I love your channel!
Thank you Stephanie 🥰
@@TinyHouseExpedition You are most welcome!
You two are so cute! I can't believe you don't have tons more subscribers. Do you have a video of your A-frame?
Thank you so much! We’re hoping to release the “before” tour very soon 😁😊
This is Gonna B so Good THE🔥🔥🔥👍….
Hope you enjoy it! 😊🍻
So excited about your home design! Please let us know if you’re interested collaborating on a video 😊 tinyhouseexpedition.com/get-featured/

Nice! 😁😄
Also, I think it should be named The Bee Hive ;)
Dig it 🐝😄
@@TinyHouseExpedition 🥰 Thanks! I mean those yellow honeycomb bathroom tiles say it all. I love the black Adirondack porch chairs also. It would be quite a drive from where we live, quite a lot of 💰 for a short stay. Thanks for sharing though. BTW, did you guys share your A-Frame pics video? I missed it.
@@Lil-Jack-Jack so far we only shown a few shots of the outside but hoping to get the “before” tour up in the next month 😄😊
@@TinyHouseExpedition looking forward to it! The front is super cute!
Blessings, your A-Frame is simply gorgeous. What is the actual size? You mentioned the height is 10 ft...what's the actual width size please?
Would a couple of dormers in the upstairs are be out of the question?
Definitely not! A great way to create more functional space 👌😄😊
I want one. I want to buy a wooded property and have an a-frame built on it.
Do you guys still travel with your tiny house?
Our tiny house is now parked on our property in Central Oregon 😊 but now we go out a couple times of year for filming road trips in our shuttle bus conversion (still in progress) 😁
Did you know that it’s actually healthier for a man to relieve himself in the squatting or sitting position? 😊👋
Didn’t know that 🙃 we’ll have to look that up!
Super cute, but too expensive for just two or three nights.
It is definitely pricey 😅
Is there a clothes washer?
Unfortunately no but there’s an outside there’s a shed where it could work 🤔
did anyone else see the ghost if the little boy with blond hair? its at 1:22 left
side look at the bottom,
Took a look and it’s actually a reflection of our blonde dog 😉✨😊
