Congratz Kyle, so awesome to see the hatch (almost) race ready. I'm also super stoked to see Hayden on the channel full time. Fk the haters, he's a smart kid and a cool person to have around. Keep doing what youre doing boiz. Greetz from South Africa
PPS The chat at the end was cool and you should do more of them, but you should have the camera on a tripod instead of pointing it at Hayden the whole time.
Mr. Jumps that's not good bro you'd rather watch a cple barely legal kids play with cars than get it in? What's this world coming to. Ya they badass and I love watching too but I wouldn't choose this video over getting laid, well at least not with the old lady I got anyways...
Mr. Jumps lol I saw that cause my phone was in my hand right at that moment. but I was at work so that sucked eggs! haa I probably coulda posted a "first"😂
sick boosted boiz got your rides all going and rolling so awesome guys I can't wait to start my new build . since I've been watching you guys I've been getting so much inspiration to get back into it .
Have you considered wrapping the manifold? Might manage your heat a little better, and will keep from transferring heat to other stuff with it that close to the block and radiator.
I would highly recommend running a brace from like the oil pan area up to the base of the turbo or to the inside of the compressor housing to take the weight off of manifold.
Hey guys, protip if you read this - If you have issues with your turbo manifold backing off of the studs (the nuts constantly coming loose from vibration), invest in some Nordlock wedge washers. I had the same problem on by turbo S2K, the nut was backing off like once every week being daily driven until I put on those washers along with some locking nuts from Home Depot. No problems at all after that.
Maybe try moving your O2 sensor closer to the turbo? I ran my car with open headers once and my INNOVATE read full lean the whole time. As soon as the exhaust pipe was back on, it read normally.
Your wideband sensor is mounted upside down. It will keep going out because of condensation collecting inside the sensor if you leave it like that. I've had that setup for 6 years and 60k miles with the sensor mounted correctly (at least some downward slope for drain) and never had an issue.
Boostedboiz The flame you see is the unspent fule burning in the exhaust when it come in contact with heat and air, the color change is becus the ratio of air to fule in the exhaust has changed. I love it I can't wait for you to start raceing in Mexico keep up the vids guys!
Manifold pinging when its cooling down is common especially on custom fabricated manifolds. It's nothing to worry about the metal is just settling down.
i want to see what tires you upgrade to. im having a hard time getting traction in my ek as well. just wanted to know whats the biggest tire setup you can jimmy rig to work on a stock ek front end. great vids though, keep up the great content!
You're wideband is probably reading Max lean because it's so close to the end of the open downpipe. It's sensing all the incoming oxygen rushing past the the pipe as you drive so it's going to max lean. If you had a longer section of pipe and you could put the sensor back farther in the exhaust so it doesn't sense the outside air rushing past it, I don't think you would have an issue.
HI! Iam just watching about all your vids in here and i wonder. What do you do for living? I wonder just how did you guys have afford of all these car part and stuff? Those arent cheap parts here in Finland.
are you using a knock off HKSa BOV?? if yes, how does it hold up? I just spent 280 on a HKS authentic BOV... kinda feel the knock off would've done the job. Love your videos !!
Hayden is definitely taking it easy this video, Y'all hurt his feelings! He is a cool dude, be easy guys. Great video, the discussion at the end was awesome.
You should be able to adjust the tune enough to pass emissions no problem, just make an "inspection tune" like I do. Every two years I have to pass emissions so I have a specific tune file that pulls a lot of fuel and added some timing across the low load/low rpm range. I also add two gallons of E85 to 10 gallons of 93 gasoline in an empty fuel tank before going. This allows me to pass no problem. (Our state does an idle and 2500 RPM emission test)My car doesn't even have a functional cat and still passes just based on tuning. I have a cat body in the exhaust but it's totally hollow and just for visual purposes. Good luck
guys in my country we have the wort inspection ever which is good for me the only thing they inspect is the brakes and suspension and outside apearence its awesome
I don't mind when you guys talk I'm always learning from you guys! Like for example when your talking about what size tires to run, one day I'll have a boosted Honda I'll need all the info I can get!
Finaaaaaally! I've been waiting ever since you first broke it, for it to be running again. But PLEEEEASE do something about cleaning up some of the wiring. Other than that I'm super stoked.(:
That O2 sensor is most definitely too close to the turbo. Not sure what you can do about that because too close to the end of the pipe will cause problems too.
if you dont run the boost controller to the wastegate the it runs off wastegate spring pressure. if its a 7 lb 10lb w.e spring itll open up at that pressure
If you go with AEM, I can make/send you one of the cables you'll need for data logging via serial output on the wideband. Then youd just need to buy a 5-10$ serial to USB cable.
Use coolant for that radiator and not just water. Also bleed the coolant system. I dont want to see that hatch down again over something simple. this is my tv lol.
Good channel guys. Just found it tonight and watched about 10 of them. I'm in my late 30's now, but in my early 20's I was doing all this shit. Watching this brings back a lot of good memories. I had a 96 Ls turbo Integra. I was getting mid 12s. A fun daily driver. A total sleeper, all stock looking, minus the huge intercooler. Ha. I do still miss that car. Sadly someone wanted it more than me, and stole it. What's this with the E85?
Those innovate widebands are touchy - you need to recalibrate them in open air everytime you pull them out. Also check for a firmware update. I've better luck with Innovate than AEM btw, just my experience.
Dude do you have a link for that turbo ? I know its a ebay dual ball bearing gtx3582r but ebay turbos are so hit and miss I want to buy the same one as you.
waddup guys, this chanel is one I can really appreciate I feel like your my boys and I love the conversation you guys have I feel like I'm there conversating with you cuz it's so real and I'm a tech at a dealer
Congratz Kyle, so awesome to see the hatch (almost) race ready. I'm also super stoked to see Hayden on the channel full time. Fk the haters, he's a smart kid and a cool person to have around. Keep doing what youre doing boiz.

PS
Tell Charlie to get off his ass and stop playing XBox

The chat at the end was cool and you should do more of them, but you should have the camera on a tripod instead of pointing it at Hayden the whole time.
finally the hatch is back
Yeah just let me upload the 600hp map 😂👌. Love the vids guys!
Luca Car Mods This will be you in a future in your 2jz volvo hahaha
Yo shouts out to Hayden! He's a friend every car guy needs! He's a G! Much love from Cali
Kyle you posted at the wrong 2:20. It's supposed to be AM not PM

Nate Prikkel lol it was gunna be at 2am but I feel asleep 😅
I got in the habit of watching your videos at 2 am or so, so now I just wake up at 2 am automatically, bummer when they're not there.
BoostedBoiz hey dude it's cool, as long as you keep them coming 🙌🏻👍🏻
I'm not too worried about it
I love how raw they keep this channel. make longer videos I could watch them all fucking damn day!
was going 80mh on the freeway but boostedboiz uploaded a vid so i pulled over on the side of the road and watched that shit
#SafetyFirst
pulled put so fast when I heard that notification noise.
Mr. Jumps that's not good bro you'd rather watch a cple barely legal kids play with cars than get it in? What's this world coming to. Ya they badass and I love watching too but I wouldn't choose this video over getting laid, well at least not with the old lady I got anyways...
its a meme bro pull out your brain and enjoy it
Mr. Jumps
lol I saw that cause my phone was in my hand right at that moment.

Shes coming along really well. Looking forward to seeing more of the hatch!

Have you considered wrapping the manifold? Might manage your heat a little better, and will keep from transferring heat to other stuff with it that close to the block and radiator.

We need more fucking Charlie.

Damn glad this thing is finally back! Has to be one of my favorite builds on TH-cam
watching u guys from chihuahua mexico nice videos

I just watch these vids for the dog now! I have seen em 30 times..... You are doing what I did when I was young....I love your dog!
That hatch looks so Goddamn mean without the hood and bumper and big old intercooler and Uppipe shootin to the moon!!!👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🏁🏁
random banter at the end is great love it do more
Makes sense too because with your old leak on the manifold, that would have provided more o2 to burn more fuel to make a lean blue flame.
Boostedboiz The flame you see is the unspent fule burning in the exhaust when it come in contact with heat and air, the color change is becus the ratio of air to fule in the exhaust has changed. I love it I can't wait for you to start raceing in Mexico keep up the vids guys!
your my kind of guys just chillin talking about car shit
lucy is so adorable dont get rid of her. lol
Manifold pinging when its cooling down is common especially on custom fabricated manifolds. It's nothing to worry about the metal is just settling down.
the dog has PTSD from all the boost lmao
I been here since 567 subs grown alot 😊 one of the best channel :)
love watchin your vids ! live and learn. inspiring my passion for cars ! love it .
wheres the video of the burnout with the hatch and charlies wago as promised in the video where of wago did a burnout
i want to see what tires you upgrade to. im having a hard time getting traction in my ek as well. just wanted to know whats the biggest tire setup you can jimmy rig to work on a stock ek front end. great vids though, keep up the great content!

one time this guy said I'd love to see any honda beat his stock cts-v. I replied to his comment with, "go watch boostedboiz".
I Fucking love this car. Really enjoying all the work on it lately. Bring on the pulls in mexico!
Big ass smile on my face when you shot that big ass flame lol I need boost in my life
Having the chat at the end was nice, makes you guys seem more real.
HI! Iam just watching about all your vids in here and i wonder.
What do you do for living? I wonder just how did you guys have afford of all these car part and stuff? Those arent cheap parts here in Finland.
Ville Kilpeläinen the videos can probably finance them at this point but eBay turbo kits aren't too expensive
Plus everything is illegal in Finland!
Ville Kilpeläinen freedom
What turbo is that exactly? You said eBay but that spins very nicely so it's a knock off ball bearing? I wanna look into it maybe I'll pick one up
are you using a knock off HKSa BOV?? if yes, how does it hold up? I just spent 280 on a HKS authentic BOV... kinda feel the knock off would've done the job. Love your videos !!
cant wait to see the civic make big boy boost again! #1 channel for me rn, much love from the UK ❤
I remember in Kyle's old video he is so happy when he make a fire but now he can do it everytime he want.
Hayden is definitely taking it easy this video, Y'all hurt his feelings! He is a cool dude, be easy guys. Great video, the discussion at the end was awesome.
this thing needs a mean wire tuck
literally the only thing I actually take time to watch as soon as I see the notification
PLX devices makes an awesome wideband. Been using them since 00 with no problems.
because of boostedboiz i just picked up a 91 civic wagovan rt4wd today for 500
"its so quiet now" lmaooo good one great vid
You should be able to adjust the tune enough to pass emissions no problem, just make an "inspection tune" like I do. For your horns to work they need to be secured to metal for a ground. Attach a wire to the metal backing and ground it off, they should work then
NOM NOM
guys in my country we have the wort inspection ever which is good for me the only thing they inspect is the brakes and suspension and outside apearence its awesome
what injectors are you running? I'm using decapped ls truck injectors and was wondering if there's a better alternative
nothing better than watching some boostedboiz during work haha dope video
I don't mind when you guys talk I'm always learning from you guys! Like for example when your talking about what size tires to run, one day I'll have a boosted Honda I'll need all the info I can get!
Finaaaaaally! I've been waiting ever since you first broke it, for it to be running again. But PLEEEEASE do something about cleaning up some of the wiring. Other than that I'm super stoked.(:
what about the brace up top are you gonna take off the lights and weld it down ??
That O2 sensor is most definitely too close to the turbo. Not sure what you can do about that because too close to the end of the pipe will cause problems too.
try The calibration procedure requires that the oxygen sensor be in free air
this means removed from the exhaust system completely. .o2 sensor,,
if you dont run the boost controller to the wastegate the it runs off wastegate spring pressure. if its a 7 lb 10lb w.e spring itll open up at that pressure
If you go with AEM, I can make/send you one of the cables you'll need for data logging via serial output on the wideband. Then youd just need to buy a 5-10$ serial to USB cable.
Watching Kyle and Hayden shoot the shit was the best part of the video
Use coolant for that radiator and not just water. Also bleed the coolant system. I dont want to see that hatch down again over something simple. this is my tv lol.
lovin the raw footage of u guys
Fuck yeah 22 minutes of BoostedBoiz, this video just made my day!
I had the same problem with my innovate LC-2 afr gauge. always acting up; switch to aem
Go with the AEM x series wideband kit, it's a great self calibrating setup that looks nice. I think it only comes in red though
why is your catch can not hooked up to your pvp. where you have it at it's just gonna pull oil out your valve cover. not the intake.
Good channel guys. Just found it tonight and watched about 10 of them. I'm in my late 30's now, but in my early 20's I was doing all this shit. Watching this brings back a lot of good memories. contents awsome, was little lagn lately.. having haiden on is sick. you guys have good gear head convo's
So exciting! Cant wait to see a good drive video!
The hatch is back in business Baby!!!
Love you guys so much. You make my day.
Where you have that crank sitting drives me nuts, you knock it over and it could bend! lol
keep the videos coming best show in TH-cam by far 👌🖒🖒
Lucy is a awesome dog! she make you happy!
Outside cash me, about how that
I read this completely wrong at first hahah
loving hayden being more frequent on the channel now
can you post a link to what turbo you have on the hatch? seems like youve had good luck with yours
Those innovate widebands are touchy - you need to recalibrate them in open air everytime you pull them out. Also check for a firmware update. I've better luck with Innovate than AEM btw, just my experience.
Dude do you have a link for that turbo ? I know its a ebay dual ball bearing gtx3582r but ebay turbos are so hit and miss I want to buy the same one as you.
can't wait to see some races in the Hatch, I wonder if it will be any faster
sloppy mechanics always recommends the AEM eugo wideband because theyve always worked reliably for him, the innovate ones are always super finnicky
Keep up the good work @boostedboiz
lol.. good Ole Clear Creek County:)... am I right? great dmv they have up here
lovin the new boostedgal, lucy
what does e85 smell like ? I've never smelled it and we don't have it in any of my local gasoline station
Ima say it shoots flames cause 2 reasons: The tune is giving it more fuel is causing it to shoot more flames and the fact you have a straight pipe
Aem also states that the 02 sensor should be 36" downstream on turbo applications
Does it have 2 step? If not, would you consider it?
waddup guys, this chanel is one I can really appreciate I feel like your my boys and I love the conversation you guys have I feel like I'm there conversating with you cuz it's so real and I'm a tech at a dealer
