      On a more serious note, being a former aircraft mechanic in the United States Air Force, it is absolutely imperative and essential that the proper tools must be used when performing any maintenance. Otherwise this only contributes to shoddy maintenance and poor workmanship.
      And any failure as such from this process could quite possibly lead to aircraft system malfunction or worse, loss of human lives.
      At least, this is what the Air Force taught me and I believe this to be a matter of fact.
      So long story short, I hate seeing the improper use of tools.
      That just steams me to no end. Like for example, an unlocked footlocker or worse a jelly donut inside of it.
      Have a wonderful day! PEACE!!

    Start of this movie is one of the best ever "African ganja 65". It's a shame it's almost like they didn't know how to end this movie. This could be one of the greatest comedies ever if ending was better. My favorite comedy duo definitely. Watched Silver streak a few months ago and how great was that film ❤

    its even funnier when you realize that Skip didn't even know what Chico was doing, and he was so surprised about how mellow the taller guy was when he said that his name was "aaaaaaaaa Alex". If he just looked down or if Lana didn't stop him, I'm pretty sure Skip would've reacted differently.

    Every scene in this movie is a template for how to make a comedy. Amateur psychiatrist Gene Wilder trying to be peace maker in a city of raging maniacs!! At his side is the only man on the planet that is even funnier than him. The thousand pound GOAT of stand-up comedy. The incomparable Richard Pryor. Together, they are a warehouse full of comedic dynamite. Like the great Don Knotts in The Andy Griffith Show, these two are funnier saying nothing at all!! Their facial expressions and body language alone bring tears of laughter. Certifiable proof is in the greatest scene in the movie. Wilder is skipping Tra La happily to his cell only to see his best buddy face to face with the 400 pound (Or Thereabouts) Grossberger. Pryor then employs the greatest facial expressions ever captured on film. Every incoherent word he stammers only adds to the joy. "Cccant Goooo Nnnow." Pppleaase Dooont Leeavve Meee!!" Beyond any doubt the funniest scene I've ever seen on film. Liquid Gold. Beautifully written. With even better performances from its glorious cast. The phrase "They don't make em like they use to," has never been more appropriate. Wilder and Pryor leave every comic team ever assembled in a roadside ditch. Two GOATS grazing in the same pasture.

    It's too bad that this great comedy team didn't have at least a couple more scripts as good as this one. Three great films and one not so good one, was just not enough screen time for this excellent duo. Hollywood really short changed all of us on that one.

      what would you say were the three great films? and which one do you think was not so good?

    • @skybluemarshall
      @skybluemarshall 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@ironrobin Let me be clear in saying that I was writing about their film work as a comedy team and not about their individual film careers. They both made some very good movies as individuals. Also, I'm going to alter my original statement by saying that they made two great films, one decent film and one bad film together.
      Here's how I would rank them:
      1. Stir Crazy. If I had to pick one movie that sum up how well they worked together as a team, this would be the movie. They both had equally strong roles and the movie was very funny. It easily has the highest replay value out of their four movies together. It's a comedy classic in every sense of the term. This is their masterpiece as a comedy team.
      2. Silver Streak. This is probably a better film overall than Stir Crazy, but because it is a romantic comedy thriller, it's not nearly as funny and Richard Pryor had a much smaller supporting role. This is basically Gene Wilder movie, that Pryor appeared in for several scenes to help Gene Wilder's character avoid the police. It was their first movie together and it showed audiences that these two guys had chemistry and they needed to make some more magic together.
      3. See No Evil, Hear No Evil. This is the movie where they tried to recapture the magic of their second movie, Stir Crazy. They play a blind and deaf pair, who become friends and try to stop a team of thieves and murderers. Critics disliked the movie and called it a bad film, but many fans of their on screen chemistry liked this movie and it did make money.
      4. Another You. This one was a box office failure and a critical failure. They changed directors during the filming and Richard Pryor's health was not good (Multiple Sclerosis). Many fans never saw this movie. It came and went and nobody noticed.

    • @ironrobin
      @ironrobin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@skybluemarshall thanks, i just watched see no evil, hear no evil last night. we loved it, it was great fun. the only one left to see now is Another You. this duo is so fun and endearing... sad to see i only have one more movie of theirs to watch.

    • @skybluemarshall
      @skybluemarshall 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ironrobin You can stil enjoy some of the comedies from their individual careers. Richard Pryor is probably best remembered by critics for his live stand-up comedy films, but I enjoyed his theatrical comedies more. Here are some of my favorites from his films without Gene Wilder: Brewster's Millions, Harlem Nights, Which Way is Up, Bustin Loose, Moving.
      If you're interested in seeing Pryor in some of his more dramatic roles, then I reccomend: Blue Collar, Jo Jo Dancer; Your Life Is Calling and Some Kind of Hero.
      Gene Wilder also made some fine comedies. It needs to be said, that Blazing Saddles is probably the best Pryor and Wilder comedy that never happened. Richard Pryor co-wrote the movie with the Director Mel Brooks. Pryor was probably responsible for most of Sheriff Black Bart's lines and many of the racial jokes that Mel Brooks might have felt uncomfortable, writing. But, Pryor showed to the set on his first day of shooting and he was drunk and high, so Mel Brooks replaced him with Clevon Little and the fans got short changed. It's a great movie, but Richard Pryor woul have been so much better.
      Here are my favorite Gene Wilder films, not counting any of the Pryor/Wilder movies, which you are already watching: Young Frankenstein, The Producers, The Frisco Kid, Willie Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Blazing Saddles, The Woman In Red
