Sally once again shows that she has the biggest heart on the show. ❤ Sally's speech to Tony is _everything_ - it's as if instinctively, she knows exactly what Tony needs to hear in order to puII himself together. There is not a trace of pity in her, not because she doesn't have compassion for Tony, but because she firmly believes that he has no reason to feel sorry for himself since he has a bright future ahead of him, and she projects that future vividly enough to make him believe in it too. And she uses her own loss as an example to show him that it is possible to suffer a tragic fate and still survive. This is the kind of pep talk we sometimes hear Sally give Stephanie. And just like Stephanie, Tony sees through Sally's reverse psychology and realizes that she has genuinely good intentions.
She’s just the best, and I love the parallel with her pep talk to Stephanie when Stephanie was recovering from her stroke. In both cases, we see that Sally is a good person because she’s not just giving a nice pep talk; she’s putting thought and effort into finding a way to truly get through to the person and help them, even if it makes them temporarily dislike her.
The writers kept flirting with Deacon/Amber but never really went anywhere. Narrative wise, an affair between Deacon and Amber would've made more sense than Deacon and Brooke.
It would have made more sense, but the problem is that there wouldn't be anywhere to go narrative wise after a Deacon/Amber pairing. The Deacon/Brooke affair was explosive and continues to have an impact on the show today. They made no sense but the plot gave Brad 🔔 years of story to milk off.
With all the talk about Macy lately, the flashbacks, the dream sequence, and Sally's foreshadowing comments to Thorne (about how he caused Macy's death and "nothing will ever change that") and Tony (about Macy being "burned beyond recognition", leaving Sally "without a body to bury"), it is clear that Bell was planning for Macy to return in the near future. This episode originally aired in late August 2001, and the show was planning to go to Italy in November that year. However, this trip was canceIed due to nine eIeven. Then they went to Portofino a year later instead, and that's where Macy returned. So it seems plausible that Macy's resurrection was actually _postponed_ for a whole year due to this change in plans. We can see the stage being set and the momentum building up in these episodes for a payoff that doesn't happen until much later.
@@NewYorkNick0607I wish I could join you there! I had some liquid grapes yesterday for dinner.. Does that count 😂 Also, I bought some grapes today to prepare for my week of meetings ahead *nom, nom, nom*
Deacon obsession with amber annoying to what is the point of this Bridget relationship other then to just still get back at Rick and amber and the rest of Bridget family the whole storyline was horrible from beginning to end
I loved Darlene Conley, she was a great actress!❤

Sally ACTUALLY cares about people other than herself!
I want to give Sally a hug.

I just made the same comment elsewhere!
We could all use a Sally ❤

These scenes prove Deacon, Amber and Brooke are alike. All were in loveless marriages, using their partners and seducing married people.

Sally got Antonio together! I love her!

Oh wow
Very informative. Thanks for that!
Darlene Conley and Susan Flannery made the show.
So true! Stephanie was the show's center and Sally was the show's heart.
@@annieo6527You're so right about that.
Without them the show is like a cartoon.
Absolutely 💯 👍💜
And now Bell wants us to believe KKL makes the show!😂
@@jemekiahall5848 agree! but she’s still either is on 2024, with Ridge, go figure!

Clarke is hoping that Kristen's taste in coffee hasn't changed in 10 years.
Kristin is so self absorbed, me me me and Tony who she has known for 5 minutes
Ridge is really getting on my nerves not seeing Brooke what she is doing put your foot down and be a man
I miss Sally Spectra... Darlene Conley 🥰
Love her !!!!
Sally in the thumbnail means a MUST WATCH episode!
I didn't see any Brooke's stans hating on Deacon or Amber recently. I think they now see the similarities.
One said they are acting childishly. ...😂
@@babs4848 😂
Should bring back Amber and Little Eric, that would be trouble for Sheila
In this storyline Clarke is as selfish as Brooke.
I love Sallie!

When is Stephanie coming back?

Amber is making fool out of Rick I knew they still have feelings for each other Bridget and Rick going to find out that's the end of both marriages
Bridget’s marriage is gonna end, but Amber not gonna have nothing to do with it…
I love Sally
I love Sally 🥲
I like Clark more in the center... he was funny... more Clark, less Deacon
2001.
